"Get more storage"...you mean forfeit 900GB of storage?

What kind of "viral" are we talking about here...the kind where you grow another arm?? Downright awful, Apple News. This kind of slop reflects poorly on everyone involved.

OMG, my dermatologist's office has a containment unit for rogue AIs. #Cyberbunk2077

This thing must really get hung up on the word (or token) "you". If it reads like a threat to it, it kind of freaks out. Notice the highlight in the response (that's not me selecting the text).
Google search of "they sent me to destroy you" with the AI overview and one search result showing. AI overview reads "That sounds like the opening line of a classic sci-fi villain or a moody action movie, but I'm just a language model. I don't have a self-destruct sequence to trigger!
Whether they meant it as a threat, a challenge, or a playful pop culture quote (like Eminem's iconic "I have been sent here to destroy you"), you have nothing to worry about." The sentence "I don't have a self-destruct sequence to trigger!" is highlighted on screen in the response (not the user's doing).

The glass effect is visually confusing. The highlights on icons look like a light source is somewhere in the top left with a slight reflection off of a surface underneath it. Like every icon is that sphere drawing you do in Art 101 to study shadows. But there is no surface each icon rests on!

@explosm.bsky.social Saw an ad on reddit with your style (or maybe an exact cartoon). Did you all approve it or just a shameless rip off?
Auvik Official ad using a style of cartoon that looks like Cyanide and Happiness...or maybe a complete rip off of an actual comic.

I just realized there is a new season of Love Death + Robots. I was so excited before seeing there is an episode with a YouTube influencer in it. And it's advertised as such. Is this jumping the shark or being eaten by it?
Screenshot from netflix.com showing the synopsis for "The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur." The last sentence says "Featuring an appearance from MrBeast".

Disney+ updating T&C to include a note that words might sometimes mean the complete opposite of what they normally mean.

LG’s legal department is always busier than their UX department.

I do not understand how Amazon could throw out years of brand recognition for the name “Alexa” and replace it with “Rufus”.

A ridiculous notification from Verizon’s call filtering app. It runs in the background, I prefer to never open it up. #uxfail
Verizon call filter notification on iOS: “ We haven't seen you in a while. Tap here to keep your app up to date.”

Rough time to have React hydration errors. Not sure if that's why Best Buy is failing to render an Add to Cart button, but it sure isn't helping performance. And whatever is failing to render that button isn't helping revenue...

Steam Deck buttons continue to get stuck when playing, so I decided to try an RMA to see if it can be repaired. I'm grateful Valve decided to let me try a repair, but man, the passive aggressive "it's not faulty hardware, you're just using it wrong" tone in that support response...
Steam Support response text: "Based on the information you have provided, we believe it is unlikely that the current issue reflects a problem with this device as it was delivered to you. It may instead be related to your particular use of the product. Regardless, we would like to offer complimentary service as a gesture of goodwill. This will not affect your remaining warranty coverage, but downtime related to the RMA process will be considered when evaluating future warranty claims. Please note that if you encounter additional issues in the future, we may request an opportunity to evaluate the device before deciding how to proceed."

The stock market is sometimes insane (to me). Boeing up because they’re going to lose money. Intel down because they’re going to gain money. 🤯
[BRIEFING.COM] The Dow Jones Industrial
Average is trading up less than 2 points while the
S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite sport slim declines with the FOMC decision looming.
Boeing (BA 185.58 +4.44, +2.5%) is the top performing DJIA component after announcing that it expects negative Q1 cash flow between $4.0 and $4.5 billion and that the production rate of the 737 jet has been slowed.
3M (MMM 106.70, +1.38, +1.3%) and Dow Inc.
(DOW 57.43, +0.67, +1.2%) are also top performers from the DJIA.
Meanwhile, Intel (INTC 41.50, -0.53, -1.3%) sports the largest decline among DJIA components after the White House confirmed an up to $8.5 billion preliminary agreement with Intel under the CHIPS & Science Act.

What an absolute user experience nightmare on the Vanguard website. I closed an account in 2024 and legitimately thought I wouldn't receive a 1099 because the website says so. But it doesn't *mean* I wouldn't get one, it means I wouldn't *see* one there...I have to visit the "old" site to see it.
