I hear that all too often while at the same time they encourage people to purchase an EV and install solar. It's all a reflexive response to the oil industry's individual carbon footprint claim. In reality the millions of individuals buying dead animals for dinner do make an impact.

I would rather see golf courses turned into high density community centered affordable housing. Unlike here in Boise where one of the oldest golf courses is being redesigned to accommodate more high end housing. They cut down tens of trees that were 100 yrs old to make way for the homes.

We must distinguish between the many uses and functions of AI. Some is spitting out stolen content, some is actively surveilling people and other AI performing scientific work. I find the first 2 quite problematic. I don't believe people want to be surveilled or others wanting their content stolen.

People justify their use of animals as long as the animal was treated humanely. However, there's nothing kind or compassionate about the way we treat animals especially when there's no necessity to them being enclosed, used, exploited, mistreated and killed. The only way to be humane is to go vegan.

I have been critical of so called environmental organizations such as the Sierra Club and the Nature Conservancy. Their mission is to protect the environment and nature but they never address animal agriculture and how it destroys ecosystems, threatens biodiversity and more. They never say go vegan.

For 33 of my 59 yrs I have been vegan. I grew up raising, abusing and slaughtering cows, chickens, sheep, ducks, racing horses, racing pigeons, and geese. At the time it was a normal way of living even though I felt it wasn't right. Once I left home I learned there was a different way of living.
