This has always confused me. Why do we not see or hear climate scientists and environmental groups telling people to go vegan? #vegan #climate #environment #animals #deforestation

People justify their use of animals as long as the animal was treated humanely. However, there's nothing kind or compassionate about the way we treat animals especially when there's no necessity to them being enclosed, used, exploited, mistreated and killed. The only way to be humane is to go vegan.

I have fought for over a year to delete my Facebook acct but I have been stuck using Marketplace to sell stuff. Craigslist was once the go to spot for the exchange of goods and services but lost people to FB Marketplace. I have decided that from today forward I will only use Craigslist to sell on.

Trump shows more interest in renaming things than improving the lives of people in the US and around the world. He's one corrupt mother fucker. Yes, I use harsh language towards Trump because he's deserving of it and anything less minimizes his true character.

For 33 of my 59 yrs I have been vegan. I grew up raising, abusing and slaughtering cows, chickens, sheep, ducks, racing horses, racing pigeons, and geese. At the time it was a normal way of living even though I felt it wasn't right. Once I left home I learned there was a different way of living.

Merely switching to electric cars isn't going to fix the problem with cars. We must look at different ways of building our infrastructure so that we aren't dependent upon a 2 ton box of metal to move a 150 pound person. #biking #mobility #carfree

People are foolish to think that politicians of any sort or corporations will save us from Climate Change. The corps only interest is profits and keeping their preferred politicians in office. It takes individuals banding together to change our way of life to be more sustainable. Be the change...

Going vegan accomplishes more than saving animals from cruelty, abuse, suffering and an untimely death. It also has a significant role in reducing environmental destruction due to the large demand for land and resources necessary to raise animals for food and other purposes. #vegan #climatechange

I already posted about this a few times but felt I should mention it another time. People have little perspective on the extent of how animals are used in our daily lives. The manufacturing of car tires for example require stearic acid which gives them elasticity and durability during vulcanization.

Not exactly. There are whole industries dependent upon animals for the production of goods and services. For example the leather industry requires that 340 million cows be slaughtered each year just to satisfy the demand for leather shoes and upholstery.

Merely reducing beef consumption won't cut CO2 and methane. The leather industry alone requires 364,000,000 cows to be slaughtered each year just to meet the need to produce leather shoes and upholstery. Cows will continue to be raised and slaughtered until people actually go vegan. #vegan #climate

For years I have been saying that leather/animal hides isn't a by product of the meat industry. Nearly 50% of leather is used just to produce shoes. Changing diet won't change the huge demand for cows, sheep and goats by the leather industry.

Jonathan... #5 is dietary but that's pretty narrow when animals are used by other industries such as leather and adhesives. Changing diet won't change the huge demand for cows, sheet and goats by the leather industry. How have you taken that into account?
