Really enjoyed presenting today at the @uob-sop.bsky.social Celebrating Research and Impact event. I spoke about my postdoc research on how adolescent weekday–weekend inconsistency and sleep debt relate to depression in young adulthood. Great conversations with colleagues and a lovely event!

Really enjoyed talking at the @unibirmingham.bsky.social Centre for Developmental Science research seminar on sleep and adolescent mental health. I focused on how sleep can act as both a risk and a protective factor, presenting our recent findings on adolescent sleep behaviours and later depression.

Very happy to share that I’ve passed my PhD viva with minor corrections🎉 My PhD explored the longitudinal links between adolescent sleep and later self-harm and suicide risk. Really grateful to my examiners, Prof. Talar Moukhtarian & Prof. Alice Gregory for such a thoughtful and constructive viva!

Happy to announce my 2nd blog post as a UK Data Service Impact Fellow has been published! With my research focused on self-harm, suicide, and mood disorders, the emotional impact is undeniable, but can be overlooked. How do you support yourself when the weight of the dataset starts to feel heavy?🏋️
