Been basically just working on some commissions lately when I have the time, but I finished this particular piece yesterday. "Teacher", 5/30/2025. My first real attempt at drawing a horse. I'm actually very pleased with how it turned out. #art #pencilart #horses

So true. So much of what I create is to say things in those works I cannot in words, out loud, that must otherwise be kept hidden-- at least, that is, for a time. Many because I lack the language; many others because of propriety and sacred regard. But I've learned to love and harness that tension.

Spent much of the morning catching and holding baby goats for vaccinations and such. Found out that they don't really behave for selfies. These two darlings cooperated. Hope everyone enjoys their day. #goatlife #animals

"Anyone who has seen her smile has known perfection. She instills grace in every common thing and divinity in every careless gesture. Venus in her shell was never so lovely, and Diana in the forest never so graceful as my Lady." Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand #love #romance #literature

"Simple Expression" 4/1724 Kinda just wanted to go for something with a minimalist art deco feel to it with this one. #art #romance #pencilart

"Virgin Snow", 4/1/2025. I've always had a love affair with winter scenes, like stuff from old Currier and Ives prints. This ain't quite it, but I think it's got the same spirit... with my style. #art #pencildrawing

I've had nothing *but* support from all my friends for my sobriety, and I'm incredibly grateful for it. #sobriety #recovery

Something that has continuously surprised me since November's injury is my sense of adventure along with the capacity to learn new things and my creative drive. Decided today to try teaching myself to play the guitar after a long time not touching the thing, and I have high hopes. #musicislife
