in newer versions of blender, the easiest way if you want to insert the text *inside* the UV texture is by using a brand new compositing node that allows you to, well, insert *2d* text inside a texture with your desired specification. alternatively... yeah. adding a 3d text and manual face align. 🤷‍♀️

around here i always get so bitter when they call image below a "dutch pie" when... no? no it isn't????? dutch pies are made from apples, not (almost) like a cheesecake 😭

an erroneous representation of a (served cold) sweet pie made out of biscuits, cream and chocolate (from bottom to top order). there are also chocolate-topped biscuits around the pie itself to give an extra decorattion.

if you mean this, i may not be the author but i can give you some directions: this is called chromatic aberration! it happens when you separate the red, green and blue parts of your existing layer with different positions, causing this "distorted" appearance as to how they're presented.

you probably noticed by this point but for this month's a.m. i was very inspired to also make an artwork from one of their most recognizable characters. this arwork was done entirely using just a keyboard. no extras, only manual key presses and a bit of patience within the span of 5-6 hrs. :)

by the way: the group in particular i'm mentioning is japan's Pizzicato Five ...not all of their stuff is available as MVs (where they were actually done) given the fact they can't release certain tracks due to reoccuring sample usages + licensing, but for the ones they did, it looks excellent.

a static shot of the music video produced for "On The Sunny Side of the Street" by Pizzicato Five, directed by Konishi Yasuharu with participation of lead singer Nomiya Maki. in the image, you can see both (in a shadowed ambient) taking a photo inside a structure as the lady poses to the camera right near the photographer.

This is the DVD rendition of this music video, taken from a collection of audiovisual materials produced for/by the group throughout their legacy from 1991 - 2001. It was manually encoded and optimized for the best quality while keeping artifacts to a bare minimum (or as per how the video is intentionally captured)
