Old lady dogs. Kelley (17 white) had to be put to sleep in July. Her sister Molly (18) died exactly a month later. They were old and had good lives.

Pretty cool. My Fluid Mechanics background is limited to having been a TA for lab in 1993. I vaguely remember one of the classes had them test the rapid transition from laminar to turbulent flow. What did the equation predict, vs what are the conditions that keep it smooth? I think.

Yes. I have two old lady dogs. Molly (18 next week) is too smart and she knows life can suck sometimes. Kelly (17 in October) is always happy and ‘bless your heart’ dumb. I love them both. :) I am holding Kelly.

I got to hear Charles Boldon give a talk about launching Hubble. This was June 1991- 14 months after launch, before the mirror fix. He showed images of early Hubble use. They were still quite awesome. :) It was at Kennedy Space Center- that summer changed my life. :)

I hate the thought of doing that. But, to be honest, I have not opened a vast majority of them in 20+ years. Who takes really old textbooks? Engineering grad school level texts are going to age better than molecular biology. I assume.

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

A decade ago I was really, really into CrossFit. I was in killer shape. Did the paleo thing. Counted macros for a bit. Goal was 150 grams of protein a day. It is hard to do without being obsessive. Your body turns the excess into carbs anyway. Correct?
