We are experiencing the oligarchy’s neoliberal endgame. They intend to take everything. EVERYthing.
A anthropomorphic goat saying “NEOLIBERALISM IS THE BELIEF THAT IF WE PROTECT THE OLIGARCHY FROM RESTRICTIONS OF ANY KIND, LEGAL REGULATION + WHATNOT...
AND GIVE THEM THE ENTIRETY OF A NATION’S WEALTH, THEN THEY, IN THEIR GREAT WISDOM AND MAGNANIMITY... WOULD KNOW WHAT WAS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THAT NATION AND SPEND AND REDISTRIBUTE THAT WEALTH ACCORDINGLY.

This is my first attempt at a sculptural piece that incorporates textiles. Found natural objects, paper clay, textiles, wire, thread, acrylic Part of a growing Kansas City collection that we’ll hopefully hear more about this year.

Look at this beautiful painting by @micael-elrod.bsky.social (follow her immediately) that @kylestrahm.bsky.social surprised me with over the holidays. I found the perfect frame and now we just need to see which room she wants to live in!
A big, beautiful, realistic painting of a plump Virginia opossum, body facing left, but looking at the viewer. The possum stands just behind a log in the foreground, and they are gripping a reddish fungus growing from the log with their right forepaw. Their tail curls on another mushroom. The possum and log are surrounded by brilliant orange copper irises. The deep background is a rich and variegated green. The canvas is framed in an ornate, large, gold frame, and sits on a couch waiting to be hung.

This piece is a celebration of my eldest child, their weirdness, their gentleness, their precious spirit. They hold a plant and a rat as symbols of nurturing and care for each other and recognition of the unique divinity we encounter in each other. Oil, textile, thread on canvas 45x61”
