Pulled back the duvet and found 1 digger, 1 duplo car, 1 toy K500 stearman airplane, 1 hotwheels car and 1 cuddly toy (species: alpine ibex) hiding in bed. Promptly pushed them off and now fully expect to forget about it and step on them (the duplo, probably) in the morning. So, good night from me!

Story time: the first time I went to the cinema alone was a Halloween showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Studentersamfundet in Trondheim. I had nobody to invite, didn't know what to expect. But in the crowded, dark room, I felt welcome, like I belonged. Such is the power of that film.

Caught a crab today with a piece of herring. It munched so happily on the piece of fish, despite being trapped in a bucket, that I developed an acute appreciation for crabs. (And yes, we let it go. It was an educational trip for the little one, not a proper fishing trip.)

There is a huge amount of wisdom in the moomin books in general, and in Moominpappa at Sea in particular (original title Pappan och havet (the dad and the sea), which is allegedly a play on the old man and the sea...). Can recommend.
