Posting this for no reason whatsoever:

So spare me the fucking bullshit about how we can’t support what Newsom is doing because he’s “problematic.” You told every marginalized community to go fuck themselves last year. And no, you didn’t save Gaza. You guaranteed its destruction. And so I say to you: Fuck. You. (2/2)

Thanks to the “leftist progressives” and their goddamned purity tests, my rights are now about to be before this corrupt Supreme Court and if they hear the case, I and many others may well lose them for generations. (1/2)

I’d move to California in a heartbeat if I didn’t have to pass that fucking bar exam again in order to work there.

My horror nerd subconscious must be working overtime. Had the coolest dream where I was having lunch and drinks with my best friend (naturally) Neve Campbell when all of a sudden, Jamie Lee Curtis drops into the same place and joins us. Best. Dream. Ever.

Predators I at least found kinda B-movie fun the way I find Alien: Resurrection kinda fun.

100

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 03/03/2025

My only thing with Predator is that it took until Prey to get an Aliens-level worthy follow up.

Well, the Oscars tonight pretty much proved what The Substance was saying. Talented older women will always be shoved aside for the next young thing in Hollywood. You deserved better, Demi. ❤️

031

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 03/03/2025

Well, Demi Moore got royally robbed.

And then to top it all off, a great night out with my closest law school friend group. Truly one of the best birthday gifts ever.

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 24/02/2025

Truly had the best birthday weekend last week. My best friend from law school and I were reunited for the first time in 5 years. We even got to return to and take a picture in the same place we did 9 years ago. Felt like no time had passed. ❤️

They say you should put out the energy that you want to cultivate for yourself. Well, today, another year older, and hopefully I can make this energy a reality. 🎂

Bye now, actual genocider. 👋👋

000

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

Yes. Usually knowing the actual facts helps me sleep plenty at night. You should try it sometime, you may actually start to sound like you know what you’re talking about. Till then, enjoy watching an ACTUAL genocide that you helped make possible.

100

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

Incorrect, but clearly you are not suffering from an overabundance of intelligence.

100

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

Well congratulations, because of stupid motherfuckers like you, Gaza’s gonna get wiped off the fucking map. Well done, you little prick. GREAT jobs saving the lives you supposedly gave a shit about. 👏👏

100

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

But Biden something something Harris something something something genocide… Welcome to an ACTUAL genocide.

As I approach 36, I looked back on the days when I was budding little gay boy: young, dumb and full of….attitude. 😂 This for example, during my homo-emo phase, when my idea of being cool was to try to look seductively stoic, or to replicate Madonna poses.

030

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

Yeah. Will still watch, but if it’s not great, to me, it’s just a one off. We move on. This is where not being on Twitter with a bunch of rabid fans comes in handy. I don’t have to read 18,000 posts about how Star Trek hasn’t been good in a long time, etc.

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 20/01/2025

Here’s a hot take before I log off for the entirety of tomorrow: Tik Tok is responsible for the viral spread of misinformation and the belief among the gullible dregs of Gen Z that government should be according to social media activism. It’s a blight on society and should’ve stayed banned.

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 13/01/2025

Has Patrick Dempsey been confirmed? I know they’re shooting now, but I never saw an official announcement about him.

000

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Went through some of the family albums while I was home for the holidays. I used to be cute, I don’t know what happened. 😂

000

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

I did go for when they re-released it in 2019 for the 40th anniversary. I am glad I did, but you are correct. When you have to fully focus on it for the whole runtime…it wasn’t exactly easy.

010

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

That’s true. But looking at it as an individual movie, it never quite does it for me because it’s so sterile.

100

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

So much of the second act alone is spent with no dialogue and characters just looking at a viewscreen. That’s fine for an esoteric sci-fi movie like 2001, but again, the heart and soul of those interactions is so conspicuously absent that it makes it less enjoyable for me. #StarTrekTMP

010

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

Watching Star Trek: TMP. It’s such a conundrum to me. I know it’s a good sci-fi story and has really interesting ideas. But TOS and Trek as a whole live and die by the characters and their interactions with each other. Here, there’s little of that interaction for most of the film. Feels cold.

110

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 09/01/2025

Oh don’t even get me started. And yeah, the films aren’t up to the high highs of Phase 3, but to act like there’s been nothing but shit since Endgame is so fucking disingenuous.

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 08/01/2025

Especially Sneider, who has had a hate hard-on for Marvel for years. Thoroughly unprofessional.

So, because I just saw yet another meme accusing Disney of "ruining Star Wars," this is your 2025 reminder that the prequels, *especially* the first two, are unwatchable garbage.

And ahead of her time. She predicted influencer culture, which really wasn’t a thing in 2011.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about both of them in particular. I gotta say though, when it comes to the Scream series, at least for me, the female Ghostfaces always seem more crazy, vicious and scary. Mrs. Loomis & Jill in particular, and Amber was no slouch in that department either.

A Superman that actually feels heartfelt, introspective, and yet, hopeful. Finally nice to see. I’m looking forward to this. And that theme still hits hard after 46 years.

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 15/12/2024

Couldn’t be happier. You may now resume being a prick to fans.

Who’s upset? I get to call you what you are straight to you after years of seeing your garbage pop up on my feed. This has made my day. Those buttons are available to you if having a taste of your own medicine hurts. 😘

Don’t like being called a prick? Don’t act like one.

100

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 15/12/2024

You’re nasty to Marvel fans in general. I have no compunction about labeling you what you are.

100

Matt Hansen @mhansen0207.bsky.social · 15/12/2024

Oh I know. You’ve been a prick for years. Of course that isn’t changing anytime soon.

Which does not mean Marvel Studios. But please, don’t let pesky little facts get in the way of your perpetual Marvel hate boner.

Okay, I’ve always loved Lower Decks, but I usually consider it the cotton candy of Trek. Sweet, fun, but ultimately not a TON of substance (which isn’t a criticism, just an observation). This week’s episode however, is one of the most fun, substantive episodes of Trek I’ve ever seen. Well done!

Happy birthday to the woman who not only played one of my favorite characters of all time, but whose portrayal inspired this closeted and bullied outcast in high school to persevere and rise above my own personal boogeymen. Thank you @jamieleecurtis.bsky.social for everything.
