So my YT algorithm gave me this tonight and I just had to share it, in anticipation of Taika and Rhys being together. With many of my favorite pirate people breathing the same air. It’s a great bunch of clips of the two of them being besties. youtu.be/ksjtHomhNe8?...

This is what the internet is for. This is for my sibling math nerds. This little guy does the Countdown math challenge dressed as a super hero with the absolutely masterful encouragement from dad. He often gets there when the contestants don’t. It’s just such joy. www.instagram.com/reel/Dd6usus...

Am I a bit hopeful that in season 3 we somehow get Ed back his red silk? More than a bit. I made a bead about it🤷🏻‍♀️🥰

Maya wrote this for me during choice time. She was a quirky kid who earlier teachers had struggled to like, according to her mom. I thought she was fab. She’s in 10th grade now and I hope she found other teachers who thought she was neat. I retired for health reasons but I sure miss kids.

I cut this out of copper with a jeweler’s saw ages ago and finally got to enamel him. I’m amused as he looks a bit stoned. He’s too big to be a pendant or a pin, so he’s hanging out with my tiny pirates. I’m proud of the speckly octopus skin I made by mixing a bunch of purples. Zoom in on the back 🐙

A little balm for your soul. I was lucky to see When Pigs Fly and it’s been one of my favorite cast albums since. This is a beautiful rendition of Laughing Matters, and it reminds me of Rhys reminding us we need laughter in the hardest times. youtu.be/osRPMbYiBoE?...

If you need some joy this may well be the best Taskmaster episode ever. It’s a great group and includes our beloved David Fane. The tasks are really smart and it’s just a perfect example of why some of us love it. youtu.be/itXWIPtjJr4?...

Taika gave an interview and mentioned the studio he and others bought to do projects in Ao/NZ. David Jenkins puddled up over the new gorgeous frames project. It’s Samba & Aria’s anniversary with all the love from cast mates. And tomorrow Rhys is going to talk about his mum. It’s nice. Crew for life💕

Two years ago today I attended the opening of the retrospective for Alvin Ailey at the Whitney museum. My panel for the AIDS quilt had been chosen as the final piece. It was a whirlwind of emotions and a memory I will treasure forever. I even met George Faison, and sang Janis Joplin with him🥰

I have been thinking a lot about how when Rhys was saddest about losing OFMD in such a shitty way, he went out on the road and made everyone laugh. Never once punching down, being a little bit sexy, a lot silly. Doing all the voices. If that’s not poison into positivity, I don’t know what is. 🏴‍☠️❤️‍🩹🥰
