Also, commercials sound fine. (Of course they do! 😉) The mix of the crowd noise is too loud and sibilant and it overwhelms the announcers. I think it is the sound mix from the source broadcast. The other networks are just better at balancing the sound quality.

All other football broadcasts today (CBS, Fox) were no problem. I also have no issue with streaming or gaming. Just NBC.

The sound quality for NBC Football Night in America is terrible. I can't understand a single word any of them are saying. The crowd noise is so loud the commentators are literally yelling & I still can't hear them. NBC needs to get different sound engineers. FNiA is completely unwatchable.

OMG, I was literally just reading an article in the Jan 2026 S&T about EE Barnard & his work at the Lick Observatory. Then @terilynns.bsky.social showed me this post. I remember driving up Mt. Hamilton when we lived in the Bay Area. I have a photo of me next to the telescope. This is heartbreaking.
