Protest outside the hockey arena before the game. Chaotic entry procedure due to construction and they changed where the entrance was located (?!). Yelling at ppl in Ovechkin jerseys. You’re not wrong, fam, but most of us are just hockey fans celebrating the last season of a generational talent.

Having an ADHD teenager in the family has an unexpected benefit for me. I don’t always welcome the challenge, but it forces me to be nimble in my responses to his seemingly unreasonable re/actions. I could lose my shit every time (default), but not doing so helps me be a better dad and person.

Apparently Balatro’s Painted Deck gold stake is the easiest gold. Just knocked it out in like 3 attempts. Foil Half Joker with level 6 three-of-a-kind, Gros Michel that never left me, Blueprint on a Throwback at 4.5x that’s also Polychrome. Boss was Amber Acorn. Beautiful.

I couldn’t be happier about communities across America adopting 9/25 as Dolly Parton Day. We are going to a local bar for happy hour tomorrow; it’s a fundraiser for her Imagination Library. Our kids loved checking the mail for the next book every week. I’m an atheist, but Dolly was a true angel.

Three and a half hour shift at the high school concessions stand for the varsity baseball game. They already won district, and tonight lost the regional by two runs. Now it’s off to the state playoffs. Our little town has a pretty decent team! My son does not play baseball anymore. Makes us sad.
