Nubia just made the the worst mistake ever. She introduced me to the best butcher shop in town. I went a little bit crazy. 🥩 all in all not too bad, I ended up buying 6 1/2 pounds of short ribs for $60. These will go on the grill after we marinate overnight. I know you know how good these are.

2 AM and we awoke to the sound of two dragons fighting for dominance. Turns out, it was just an isolated thunder storm. I was initially alerted to the danger by my ferocious Chihuahua, who was climbing all over my head and face. We can always count on senior Wilson to alert the family to danger.

Travel day today! We are leaving Mexico and heading north of the border to the crazy town of USA. The girls want to go shopping and eat in about 137 restaurants over the next four days. Someone please save me.

We went to Sam’s Club, and I had an impulse buy of a 12 pound pork belly. Tonight we process that into separate vacuum sealed bags for freezing. However, who needs 12 pounds of pork belly?! “I do”, I answer myself.

After an overnight red eye flight I arrived to my destination, just spent. I was a little loopy, but I had read about people ordering bloody Mary’s for a breakfast pick me up. I ordered a nine dollar bloody Mary to discover that I still didn’t like tomato juice. I took two sips and walked away.

We are so disappointed. The wife and I went out to dinner twice this week and both times we have scratched both restaurants off of our, “go to“ places. We are both generally easy to please, but when you order a medium rare steak and it arrives grey and well done, that’s kind of a dealbreaker for us.
