iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Turns out when you lose your favorite third-space location, lose your childhood cat, and then get sick one right after the other it can really damage your drive with art lol I haven’t been making as much progress with projects as I was hoping by this time of year

Okay so maybe not 27 hours but here you go

Panel 1: a person reclines on a bed holding a switch saying, “ah, time to sit and play one of my childhood faves! Lets relax and forget our worries for a little bit~”

Panel 2: PS1 sprite Barret stands staring out sadly saying, “corporations are destroying the planet, valuing profit over lives and morals. Every day is a struggle to hope and fight back.”

Panel 3: person from panel 1 stares down at their switch with a blank smile and a tear rolling down their cheek as they state, “oh dear”

Ringing Bells 🔔

Illustration depicting lily-of-the-valley flowers set against a dark sky, surrounded by stars and an ornate gold frame. A small bunny sits on one of the flower stems, eyes closed and smiling.

Not that it’s a bad thing, and there are some very good creations for it, but I think it’s very telling about fandom culture where the song Run Rabbit - a song so obviously about feminine trauma - is mostly partnered with male characters Again, not ~bad.~ But I do think it’s good to be aware

Anyway, I LOVE Fantasia. I get it when people say it’s boring tho (it is) but also consider: I love it. Me specifically. Give me animation interpretations to classical music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sat through all of Fantasia (the first one) for the first time in a while and there’s this part of me that wishes they would do another, but the rest of me knows it just wouldn’t be very…good

HUMAN ARTISTS, use only one piece to convince people to follow you. Gotta be my Potion Shop Reimi piece

A detailed illustration of the inside of a potion shop. The owner is a young woman with long brown hair pulled back with cloth, some lavender nestled behind her ear. She is examining a vial in one hand with an ingredient list clutched in the other and is wearing brown dungarees with ingredients strapped to her belt

The cauldron in front of her glows orange as it illuminates shelves full of bottles, ingredients and herbs behind her. There is a stack of books on the bottom left and to the right a tree has grown up through the center of the shop, butterflies swarm around it. There are flowers and hanging plants everywhere and through the window outside outside and around the tree, rain is falling

Vending machine pitstop 🎃 Another illustration in my Blythewood series [ #oc #art #originalcharacter ]

A drawing of left to right - Reimi (raindrop), Harvey (prince) and Meikai (bear) in Blythewood. Reimi is stood in front of a vending machine choosing a drink while Harvey leans on it looking at Meikai. Meikai is sat on the floor looking at a can that has rolled out which has a small creature inside. The background is a town in autumn and the reflection on the floor shows Reimi and Harvey looking towards him with no faces. Meikai does not cast a reflection. The drawing is bordered by leaves at the top

Version without the text and the sketch!

A cell-shaded drawing of (left to the right) Meikai (bear), Reimi (raindrop) and Harvey (prince) walking down train tracks and into a tunnel. The background has a limited colour palette of black, purple, yellow and green. Reimi is looking back over her shoulder at the camera while the other two walk ahead. Above are some telephone lines with a creature running along one of them

The sketch of Meikai (bear), Reimi (raindrop) and Harvey (prince) walking away from the camera)

Well dang, you know how I said I’d open commissions again this month? It might be put off a little longer. My mental health for the last week has been horrible as I monitor my old man and I’m going to be honest I might have one of the worst months soon
