One of the most common complaints from #MeshCore users is that their message history becomes fragmented when they use their companion with multiple devices. We're trying to solve this issue by adding message sync. You will need to use a tool of your choice (e.g […] [Original post on mstdn.social]

After some delay #Meshy 26.10 is now available on #Flathub, too.

Meshy @meshy.mstdn.social.ap.brid.gy · 09/10/2026

The update on #Flathub may be delayed because #Codeberg, where our git repo is hosted, is currently blocking IP addresses of Flathub builders. #Meshy in our own flatpak repo has already been updated.

#Meshy 26.10 has been released! It packs dozens of new features, improvements and fixes, but what we would like to highlight is an initial setup dialog and simplified contact details. Enjoy! #meshcore

A dialog window with three options: Set Up a New Companion, Restore from a Backup File, Restore an Automatic Backup.

The contact details with a new CLI icon that has the "Remote CLI" popover.

#MeshCore 1.18 will come with CLI for companions (for both remote and your connected one) and #Meshy will be ready for it. It is very handy feature because it allows you to set whatever setting the firmware accepts regardless what is implemented in the client […] [Original post on mstdn.social]

Good applications are made up of little details. The node name is now shown in the list of apps running in the background, so that you know which of your companions Meshy is connected to.

Meshy 26.09 is out! 🎉 There are dozens of fixes and improvements, but two stand out: You can now download information about nodes in your mesh from the #MeshCore project's online database. Second, there are a lot of polishing and consistency improvements in the UI. We hope you enjoy the release!

#Meshy no longer shows mentions as @[name] in plaintext, but highlights them in pill frames. It's a little UI change, but makes chats more pleasant to use. #meshcore

A screenshot of a chat where the first message is:
@sesivany-sc, hello!
second message: @sesivany-v4, hi how are you?
And in the text field to compose messages, there is: @sesivany-sc, I'm fine!
All mentions of users are highlighted in a pill frame. The mention of the "home" user is highlighted with bold text and accent color.

@phaedral you can check what PostmarketOS supports: postmarketos.org/install There aren't that many phones that run with stock Linux and those are usually older models.

@phaedral nothing special about this phone. It's a OnePlus 6 with PostmarketOS. OnePlus 6 runs really nicely with Linux and it's usually cheap (<€100), but it is getting increasingly difficult to get one on the second hand market.

The redesigned Device Info screen landed today. In the original version, there was too much information stacked in one view, so users had to scroll a lot. The layout with three tabs should be much easier to navigate. #Meshy #MeshCore
