I started going to Mariners games this year for silly give aways and I have become obsessed with the team. Tonight was an absolute gem of a giveaway and game. Thrilled to open a serialized Jimothy

I am perhaps the biggest Venser fan imaginable. I've been obsessed with the character since I opened a Venser Shaper Savant in my first booster. I hate this new card. One of the most cool and unique Venser abilities was being able to blink permanents you OWN. Not control.

Got to the Mariners game early enough for the secret door speakeasy for the first time!

For the first time this season, the Mariners won a game that I was following the entire time. Maybe they'll actually win the next game I go to!

4-2 at my first RCQ of the season. Felt like 1 of my losses was winnable but overall really happy with the day.

Tried to go to the LGS that has modern FNM. The lighting situation messes with my eye condition and I couldn't even make it through round 1 without getting sick. I wish I could just exist normally sometimes.

I've been waiting for a return to Lorwyn for years. The original Lorwyn bundle was one of the first I bought. I've been collecting the bundles and boxes ever since. Opened up my bundle today and everything was mangled. WotC is saying this is acceptable because it's only packaging and not cards.

This weekend I ran in another 5k. I was able to improve the PR I set 3 weeks earlier by 1:12. Super proud of how much my 10k training has improved my 5k performance. Also love that they gave everyone a rainbow bandana. As always, thanks @hobbesq.bolasgang.com for helping motivate me to start.

I made a lot of progress in 2025. I lost 74 pounds, started going on hikes with my longest being 8.7 miles with almost 2800 feet of gain. I started running and went from being able to run 1/8 mile to over 7 miles in a few months. Hoping to do my first half marathon next year.

I've been debating if I want to train for a 10k next. Decided to slow my pace to see how far I can go right now. Turns out I'm fairly close. Probably could've made it a full 10k if it wasn't for the .75 miles uphill at the end

010

Jacob @merfolksovereign.bsky.social · 27/11/2025

Ran in my first 5k race. Chip time was 29:28 which was slower than I wanted but I'm very proud of how much my pace improved throughout the race once I got through the blockade of walkers. And thanks to @hobbesq.bolasgang.com, all your marathon posts helped motivate me to start.

I had my annual doctor check up yesterday. Last year my doctor decided to do an early screening for diabetes due to family history. I tested just below the threshold. Since then I changed my diet and exercise. My doctor started to tear up when she saw the progress I made. That early test did so much

Lately I've been going to a tea shop every week and it is exactly the type of third place that I needed. Can go there and read, chat with friends, chat with staff/other patrons, or just enjoy a cup of tea. And the cost of a tea is relatively small, especially with free re-steeps.

Tried Riftbound at LDXP Tacoma. Was excited to learn and hoped for a prerelease vibe. Instead it was a bunch of grinders who've been finding ways to practice for months and it felt closer to a GP day 2. Really wish @laughingdragonmtg.bsky.social ran a new player or learn to play event instead.

Progress photos from my tattoo session. 1 session left. At first I wanted something small that could be turned into a half sleeve if I handled a needle well. Super glad she convinced me to do a half sleeve with the option of stopping at the hummingbird if it was too much (it was not too much)

When we embarked on creating the newly announced version of Codenames many years ago, it was a dream coming true for many of us at CGE. The vast world of magic featured in the upcoming Codenames has been a source of inspiration. It ignited a passion for learning English and exploring new worlds through reading. It shaped our childhoods, sparked imagination, or gave comfort in difficult times. We know many people around the world share the same sentiment about this universe, even among those who have been hurt by the public views and actions of its creator. Deciding whether those feelings should also transfer to the once-beloved world is up to everyone, and we fully respect and understand those who do not wish to engage with this game. We still believe in the magic of stories and the connection they create between people.

As this is an ongoing conversation, we encourage everyone to approach discussion with care, empathy, and respect—both online and in person.

Went on my longest hike yet. Felt significantly better physically compared to my first hike 2 months ago (which was 3 miles shorter with 800' less elevation gain). Today I also reached 50 pounds lost since Halloween. Really proud of my progress.
