iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

@markhamillofficial.bsky.social I wished you a happy birthday on Twitter, Mark. Although I know you don’t use that website anymore. But I am doing my part so that the dark side doesn’t win. Even on Twitter. But here is you message I posted on your birthday. I hope you had a wonderful day.

Not with your eyes, Leia. But in the Force. Remember that you have that power too. . . .

But hope endures. If we nurture these embers—through dedicated threads, cross-platform events, or even mentoring new writers—roleplay could reignite. After all, the Force awakens in cycles.

Perhaps the decline mirrors broader cultural shifts—our attention spans shortened by endless scrolls, or the rise of AI tools that promise instant creativity but often lack soul. What stories might we co-create next?

Still, I sense we’re not entirely extinct, just evolving. A quick scan of X reveals pockets of resilience: hashtags like #StarWarsRP and #RoleplayCommunity still pulse with activity, though fragmented.

I refused to dilute that for fleeting engagement, so I pivoted to solo storytelling: crafting my own arcs, exploring untold chapters of the saga with the depth they deserve. It’s solitary, but rewarding—like meditating in the Dagobah swamps, honing one’s skills in isolation.

Yet, in my pursuit of excellence, I’ve held firm to authenticity. George’s vision of Luke—a farm boy turned Jedi, grappling with destiny, doubt, and redemption—demands nuance, not shortcuts.

Platforms like Discord and Tumblr have siphoned off dedicated RPers into more niche, moderated spaces, where long-form collaboration can flourish without the noise.

Roleplayers, once a thriving community, now seem like echoes in a vast digital expanse. The algorithms favor quick hits—memes, hot takes, and viral clips—over the patient craft of character-driven narratives.

Those interactions were electric: spontaneous, immersive, and deeply connected to the essence of storytelling. But as the platform has shifted, so too has the landscape.

It’s a curious evolution, isn’t it? My journey on Twitter—now X—began in the vibrant world of roleplay. I’d slip into the robes of Luke Skywalker, weaving tales that intersected with fellow roleplayers, forging collaborative stories in real-time threads.

Greetings Mark. Don’t know if you remember me from Twitter. I know you aren’t on there anymore. As always you are my hero. Now and forever. May the Force be with you.
