Latest paper is the first from my #EPSRC @ukri.org NIA presenting a methodology to evaluate facet joint #biomechanics with evidence that aged ovine #spine model for method development was not the best idea but literature led us to believe it was doi.org/10.1016/j.jb...

I got lucky: I travelled to Swansea for a viva planned tomorrow. I asked the University to book accommodation for me, asking for 1 night on Wednesday 4th... which obviously does not exist, and the room was booked for yesterday. 1 room left at the hotel, and they only asked for the price difference!

A scary thread, read to the end! While some of the examples should have been stopped at peer review and never been published, it depicts symptoms of a crazy overcrowded system where publication numbers is still the norm to evaluate researchers. #dora needs to actually be applied, not only signed!

I find this point about TFS enormously frustrating. Many people asked and asked about both accessibility of TFS and it's ability to enhance EDI data collection and monitoring. And we were basically told not to worry our silly little heads about that, it was all under control...

Earlier this year, we published a #computational sensitivity study link.springer.com/article/10.1... showing that #meniscus shape is more important than material for #knee contact #biomechanics and that clinical interpretation cannot be done with only one anatomical variation of the meniscus.

Contact mechanics was measured as contact area, contact load on the lateral knee compartment and load distribution between medial and lateral compartments. In this latest paper I contributed to we report the development of peptide-glycosaminoglycan hydrogels as injectable biomaterials for load-bearing soft tissue repair.
