The retcon ending absolutely infuriated me because the Catalyst, among its final acts, decided the Geth's project created a risk of rebooting the Reaper cycle in the Geth's image, so it imposed individuality on them and took away the destiny they had chosen for themselves.

The thing that really hit me about the geth was the part in ME3 where Legion is talking about the Dyson sphere that they were building -- that the quarians destroyed. The geth just wanted a home where they could beep peacefully at each other.

Also, the ending of Mass Effect 3. There are plenty of games where humans are in conflict with sentient machines, but Mass Effect 3 gave the Geth a moral, ethical basis and a means of letting them live with organics in peace... and then wipes them out anyway.

I have yet to find a circumstance where, even use Claude Opus, I didn't have to re-write the whole thing. Claude has its own idioms, which my teams do not share, and its own organizational scheme which does not fit our own. We can go the full OKF and it still always requires human fingers to fix.
