I'll send out more on Facebook and here. Not much more I can add myself, but I'll go over the add-ons again.

This is why I follow @raygunsite.com and hit their store when we come back to Ames. People like these trolls need to be outed and shown that what they say does have consequences. I hate that this family had to deal with weak idiots like this.

Downside is you might have to deal with a jealous pig 😁

It is ironic that the only election that all these countries supposedly rigged was the one that his government was in control of.

Just started reading this yesterday and enjoying it so far.

My wife has really been enjoying the series and talking it up to her friends at work. I'll have to let her know about the CD thing, as I dont think she knew, and being a librarian, she will find the idea that the author wants a redo of that interesting.

I'd love to have him in the rotation. Still think we should go after Bichette as a long term piece. I do think it would help having a young star to build around signed long term. If PCA can keep it up, he could be paired with Bichette for a long time.

I'll admit, I started watching it but then our internet went out. Instead of switching over to the phone to watch it, I played with my 7-year-old. I'll finish watching it tomorrow at work. I've enjoyed it and love your videos.

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 14/08/2025

Yep. I feel you. I have to hold my tongue a lot.

020

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 14/08/2025

Yep, that's the downside. We want to play by the rules, so we are reluctant to get down into the mud when it is necessary.

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 28/07/2025

Loved seeing the pictures and the whole idea behind the wooden set list.

Just a couple? Pretty sure that was an entire George Carlin words you can't say on TV skit

We've launched a GoFundMe campaign so we can defend our property in the Diamond bankruptcy case. The full story is at the link but basically, Diamond is trying to take consignment inventory that they don't own and sell it to pay big creditors. TY for help and shares! www.gofundme.com/f/support-gr...

Ugh. Yeah, that sucks. I'll admit, there are times we don't get a whole lot done in game, but our campaigns are multiple years old and I'm on the younger side of our table at 46. We sometimes devolve into IRL talk, but we all agreed on the "social contract" so to speak.

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Sorry to hear that. Been a long time since I've played with strangers. Always helps to know going in what type of table the DM is expecting. One of my tables goofs around a bit, but we are typically serious. The other we are expected to be IC almost the entire time with little side talk. Diff DMs

Some were near that $50 range, but yeah, it is hard to find them around that price outside of Amazon. I'll keep my eye out for any others I can find.

I feel you, I miss my Runzas. (They are only in a 150 to 200-mile radius around Lincoln, Nebraska)

010

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 29/06/2025

Yep. It has been a long time since they've been anything remotely like that. My parents had been Republicans for a long time, but they swapped, I believe, during the first baby Bush. They had their eyes opened.

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 16/06/2025

Yep. Been enjoying BkueSky and the ease of blocking the few idiots I've come across.

Hitting the Pride Fest in Vegas. Love wins!

I really hope you all can do a show out this way at some point so I can see you again. Either that or split the difference and I come to a show in the Midwest. :-)

How does one get access to the discord server? I signed up when it was first announced, but don't remember receiving anything on it. Also didn't use Discord much then, but I've gotten more into it recently.

My niece recommended it to me, and I've loved it. It even got me to buy my first Manga to try and read Frieren book one.

Damn, that looks good. Been a while since I had a good tiramisu

Reminds me a bit of when I was young and helping out the Appalachian Service Project with my then church. I helped put running water into a single wide while the family sat around watching Jerry Springer on their new projection TV. First time I'd ever seen a real "working" old-time outhouse.

Damn... I'm so sorry, Jesse. Did the interaction with the cops go okay?

I'm very glad to see that LEGO is doing more diversity in their figures. My son has an awesome fig in his newest set.

Heard something I love from Coy Jandreau on the recent Reel Rejects video. The quote comes around the 26th minute. "I would never take advice from this person, why should I take criticism. If I don't value their opinion enough to get up, why would I value their opinion enough to take me down."

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 09/04/2025

Already, he has been better this year. Huge help to extend the lineup.

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 09/04/2025

My wife, Susan, highly recommends John Scalzi @scalzi.com if she hasn't read any of his books. She loved Redshirts as well as The Kaiju Preservation Society. Lock In was also very good. Susan hasn't read a Scalzi book she didn't like yet.

My wife wasn't a huge fantasy kid, but she wanted something to read while she was away (did half of her student teaching in the Czech Republic) so she decided on the LotR trilogy. She does love the various Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey.

110

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 08/04/2025

I agree. Both enjoyed it and can easily see the troupes. That was the first thing my wife said when I had her read it (after she had read LotR during her student teaching).

Yep, our tubby sausage of a Corgi, Sylvie

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

I first got into fantasy with the Dragonlance Chronicles (Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, and Dragons of Spring Dawning). Still pick those up every so often since they were my springboard into D&D

110

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

Been a long time since I read that series. It was the first long series I ever got into. Still haven't done Wheel of Time

110

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

Love the look! Now that I've lost weight it a 2XL should fit nicely.

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 29/03/2025

Unfortunately, after 21 years with us, Gracie has passed away. The past couple of days were really rough, but she isn't in pain anymore. 22 to 23 years is a good life for a cat, so we feel lucky to have had her in our lives the past 21. She will be missed.

Chris Tomlinson @melrosepad.bsky.social · 24/03/2025

Keep putting out awesome "shit" and we will continue you to force your hand as it were 😁

I'm sorry, man. Wish I could help out.
