Why is the U.S. planning to “run” Venezuela? What happened to the opposition leader, 2025 Nobel Peace Prize winner María Corina Machado, recognized for her efforts to promote democratic rights? The people should run their own country. Unless our objective and the coup is to control oil.

There are ways that even liberals can be guilty of micro aggressions. I just witnessed one, where a white man was trying to get signatures for a progressive petition and asked everyone around me, even though I do live in the city and I am registered to vote and sat with a friendly smile. Sigh.

I often remind people that there’s just as much good in the world as evil, and that evil wins when it convinces us otherwise and we give up hope. News often focuses on the negative, but we need to be careful. Cruelty IS on the rise globally and to maintain Good we need to actively stand against it.

What kind of movie am I watching? - Starts in a major city - Stars a business woman - Has a Black or/and Gay work colleague, friend or manager who gives life changing advice and may never be seen again - Professional woman leaves big city for small town/foreign village and ends up abandoning career

OMG the JFK citizens only customs line looks like an ICE nightmare. Everyone on line looks Black, Latino, Asian, Middle Eastern, progressive, LGBTQ+, socialist. LOVE THIS.

Things seen and heard at London Heathrow airport re-imagined as a horror film: Man in bright yellow “Hygiene Operative” vest… Cleaning up half eaten human bits left by a zombie run. Announcement about abandoned bags… “Any children left unattended will be taken and destroyed.”

I’m an ambivert weirdo, a creative loner who sees movies and theater solo, travels to spectacular places alone. Not because I want to (sometimes I do), but because that’s the way things are right now and I enjoy life too much not to grab hold and dance with it…even if it’s not shared with someone.

I do not do well waiting. Anybody else have my pet peeve? It gives me serious anxiety and frustration. Good for 10 to 15 minutes and after that, it’s a downward spiral.

Did not expect one of the best paragraphs I’d read about baseball would come from an Irish newspaper www.irishexaminer.com/sport-column...

And in that pause between pitch and contact - longer than logic, shorter than hope - we remembered why baseball existed long before we judged a sport's value by viral moments and betting apps. It is the romance of failure. The mortal beauty of trying and missing seven times out of 10 and still being considered great. It is the only sport where patience is a weapon, and panic the surest death. You cannot simply run out the clock in baseball; you must face it, pitch by terrifying pitch, until it finally releases you.

So, let me get this straight. According to JD Vance, it’s now AOK to make rude bad taste and racist jokes even about Charlie Kirk since no one’s life should be ruined over bad jokes, like the Young Republicans who avowed that they love Hitler, said opponents should be raped and put in a gas chamber.

Wait. Maybe far right Christians DO believe Trump is the antichrist and want him in place so the Second Coming of Christ can occur. We already know he’s “a man of sin” who “with authority leads many astray.” Now he’s also “a man of lawlessness” and claims to be savior of America. True Horror Story.

A phrase American politicians and media need to learn how to use: Palestinian families. Not “people” Not Gazans Not displaced Palestinians Palestinian Families. Particularize and humanize who they are, who has survived and who has been killed.

Seemingly random acts of kindness keep popping up in my life recently. Someone left a bunch of wildflowers on my doorstep last month (still don’t know who) and today I was rubber ducked, which I just learned is a practice amongst fellow Jeep owners to leave a rubber duck in your windshield wiper. 🥹

Especially during this administration, I felt I’ve been pulled in too many directions in the fight for what’s right. Until I reminded myself that I am only part of the solution and it is better to think of myself as being multifaceted so I can consistently fight every day and through my art.

I was raised to take a stand for what’s right. Over the years I’ve watched people stand down in fear or in the name of self-preservation. You all need to know that right now, taking a stand IS self-preservation. And we all need to be afraid if we don’t.

The question before us is do we stand by, intimidated and fearful and let our freedoms be whittled down and ripped away OR do we stand firm, cry Hell No, unite, take action and stand by those who have been victimized, targeted, harassed and fired? What you decide to do today creates your tomorrow.

My neighbor uses her cat that she lets roam freely in the neighborhood as an excuse to wander onto my property DAILY, often calling out desperately for her cat. She’s a lowkey social menace. She knows exactly what she’s doing. She feigns ultra friendliness but has NO sense of privacy or boundaries.

This is the answer I got when I asked a search asst “How can humans best interact with AI to make sure the environment is protected in a loving and compassionate human society?” If AI is exposed to the better nature of humanity, there might be hope to counter how the worst of us already use AI.

So, send in the National Guard to D.C. to clean up the homeless who have no shelter to go to, while at the same time spend $200 million on a new grand ballroom in the White House. Make it make sense.

And so it begins. This is how martial law starts…with a test case. First they came for Immigrants with ICE raids. Now for Black people with national guard policing. This is why they fought DC statehood. And it allows the govt to control protests in DC during his term. (No Jan 6 against him!)
