I made the first 4 dresses in Dressmaker (including the tutorial) and omg I am loving it! Stopped because it is a bit of a strain on the wrist. Definitely grateful for sewing assist! Hoping to stream tonight if I have the energy. Chat choice whether to start a new game or continue my current save.

Most of the info seems to be about techs that've been used in video games to make smarter NPCs for decades. They're just adding voice commands. Which seems really cool but be aware: If you're using your voice they could record it and use it to train new models. Read the EULA carefully.

From what I could tell it seems like a grey area. It uses language models for characters to understand the player and possibly also reply. But for gaming at least it seems focused on making smarter NPCs - how the various techs lumped under the term "artificial intelligence" *should* be used in games

Lifelong fan of Bob Ross. Always wanted to try his technique. Decided to see if I could approximate it in Krita. A lot of trial and error (and CTRL+Z) to find the right in-app tools and adapt the technique. I had to do things manually that happened naturally with the paint, etc. But it was FUN!!!

It's possible to be collaborating but playing different games (in general, not necessarily that image). They might be chatting about a shared topic while they play. Or they might be doing an archipelago - a multi-world randomizer in which players' progression items are mixed in each others' games.

If you use the clapping hands emoji between every word for emphasis, screen reader users will hear "clapping hands" after each word. This is true for any emoji. This will be distracting, annoying, and disorienting. The message you're trying to emphasize will likely be lost.

Tweaking the settings didn't have the result I wanted. I've been able to maintain a decent amount of those block types through trade and recycling - though I'm concerned I might've sold too much of another valuable resource. I've also made better construction choices such as not building nightstands

I didn't include this, but on a more personal note, excellent teachers were what got me through the day in high school. They weren't just good at teaching the material, they really cared about their students. Their classrooms were a safe space. Kids need that human connection to survive (and thrive)

Really sad to hear that Blood of the Dawnwalker used GenAI for its script. There is no GenAI content label on Steam at all for this too. I guess they only care about GenAI assets being labeled? Steam really needs to crack down on this more. I want to play games that are 100% Human Made.

I was thinking when you report your (taxable) income you would be allowed / expected to leave UBI out. There wouldn't be a place for it on the calculation sheet, maybe a reminder that it isn't taxed. What you said does the same thing but I think it might be helpful to keep the standard deduction.

What's the difference between negative income tax and cash? NIT runs through the tax system: apply, report income, wait for the return. It means-tests who falls under a poverty line. UBI pays everyone upfront and unconditionally. No filing, no waiting, no benefit cliff.

Fun Fact: In the United States we've already proven this works. During COVID, most CARES Act checks landed right in bank accounts automatically, no application, no means test, no waiting in a backlog. That's cash moving at the speed of need. This is the UBI model in action, at national scale.

I don't think there should be tax on UBI. Giving money then taking some of it back seems inefficient at best. Then how much UBI you functionally receive depends on your tax bracket. I'd rather see fair tax rates on other income. That would achieve the same goal while leaving "income from UBI" intact

They're using AI to "speed up the process" by rendering things... but then the artist has to go in and fix the AI's mistakes a human would not have made. Is it really saving any time or effort? I would like to know how long it would take a human to do it right the first time vs what they're doing.
