When I was in grade school, I lived in the same town of 400 my gma grew up in. On walks, she'd point out where her classmates lived & died (measles, mumps, flu, tb...) Sadly, it's looking like my grands (ages 5 to 7) may someday take similarly depressing walks w their grands. Good old days, my ass.

Today is hubs' and my 27th wedding anniversary. Came way too close to losing him, this year. I am feeling SO fortunate he's still here. It's crazy that a year ago, today, we didn't even know he had cancer yet. I am so fortunate to still have him here with me. ♡♡♡♡

Just saw my dad's HS yrbook pic from his freshman year. I'd never seen it before. Local library has it online. I was just browsing to see old shots of the town. Didn't know they had digitized old yearbooks, too. What a special treat to get to see Dad looking so young & alive. Miss him & Mom so much.

Catastrophizing helps no one. My 1st child was a preemie in the NICU for 2 mos. I was with her every night. My brother died by suicide at 41. Sister of apparent illness at 58. Both parents died in 2023. Catastrophizing is natural in those situations. It only ever made me feel profoundly depressed.

Ooh, everyone's pre-planning their Monday TV viewing! I'll have 2 of my grandsons on Monday. They're 5. They'll get to pick. If they decide to watch TV at all (big if,) they'll likely decide to binge either Bluey or ThatNateGuyonYouTube touring Spirit Halloweens. They always choose one of those.

I've always thought it's weird that we've never had generic cars marketed to/through independent (iow, non-franchise) lots. Basic: sedan, passenger van, cargo van, single cab full bed pickup, suv. Standard features, no frills. Just white. (OR maybe 3 color choices: black, white, silver.) *shrug*
