Doing a research on the 100-year-old Hetzendorf Parish Church when I came across this story. In 1940, the wife of a sacristan just got a baby when she got sick. They employed a help. One day, the aide tried to warm up some milk but she switched both knobs of the gas stove.

Every time I read a post like this : “Nobody's freakin watching this show and it's so new that theres no fandom for it so I have no idea how to tag things lmao” I wonder if people use the hashtags and check out the posts under them. It just pisses me off. The utter laziness.

Nijō Yoshimoto’s characterisation is much more lewd and pervert in the manga tbh. I don’t know if the whole thing was a compensation to the real relationship between Yoshimitsu and Zeami though.

Either as a reading or writing preferences: In the course of consuming different types of media, I have realised that i become enamoured to stories of lovers who get separated. They fall in love with other people and beget children. 1/3

Anyway, I covet the friend’s copy of the out of print book about homosexuality in the PH in the 1900s using the old photographs curated and collected by the author/executive manager. I told him I wouldn’t mind an ebook of it. But he’ll post it first to his YouTube channel as a personal project.

Had a little talk with a friend from the PH who has been getting recognised lately with his AI works on history and old Philippine films restoration. I told him my opinion that I am not in favour of it but I respect him as a friend who is convinced that AI, if given a chance, is the future.

This is a handwritten letter penned by Ludwig van Beethoven, addressed to his mysterious “Immortal Beloved.” The letter, dated from the early 19th century (often cited as July 6-7, 1812), reveals Beethoven’s intense and passionate emotions through flowing cursive script on aged, slightly yellowed paper.

Reading “The Green Gem of the Empress,” Chisato Abe’s latest, and these passages remind me of Nazukihiko. This new character is also a bird but the way she describes him is almost a replica of him.

Lines from Chisato Abe’s book Kogo no Midori:

"Look over here."
Once again, a voice called out to Naomi from close enough to leave no room for misunderstanding, and she instinctively turned her eyes. A shadow emerging at the center of her hazy vision slowly knelt directly in front of Naomi. Finally able to focus clearly, Naomi held her breath slightly. It was a very beautiful spirit. The white-clad figure, reminiscent of sculptures modeled after gods, resembled a skilled woman.
Smooth, bare skin extended from the temples.

There’s this Japanese Yatagarasu fan whose posts I miss. But the X staff nuked their account. They had such unhinged comments and stories and it was them that inspired me to just write explicit fics about Yukiya and Wakamiya/Nazukihiko. And so I did. & I love it. But it seems no one does but me.

Edvard Munch Is Known as the Painter of ‘The Scream.’ His Many Haunting Portraits Show That He Was Much More Than His Masterpiece By Sonja Anderson www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/e... #art #culture #painting

Edvard Munch. Self-Portrait with Skeleton Arm, 1895, Munch Museum, Oslo.

Munch’s upper body and head emerge from the darkness, surrounded by a deep black background. He stares directly at the viewer with a pale, solemn face and sunken eyes, his expression stern, introspective, and spectral.

At the bottom of the image, a bony, skeletal arm is prominently depicted. It appears almost disconnected from his body, lying along the bottom edge like a symbolic signature or a memento mori—a reminder of death’s presence and inevitability.
