😢 I know we're grieving the news, and feel your feelings BUT- The artists being affected are still Spindlehorse (and by extension Amazon) employees. They are still getting paid to make official art. Boycotting official Hellaverse merch won't help them in any way. You're just kicking them twice. 🫤

Hey artists! Remember, you do not create your art to please others, you create your art to bring yourself joy, and to express yourself. Don't focus on the attention it gets, but what your craft does for you. Remember, it's okay to feel sad/depressed/angry about your craft, feel those feelings, but

All fandoms are the same. Yours is not better or less toxic, trust. Make friends with people you may know irl 20 years from now. Respect boundaries. Type like you are face to face. And be respectful and kind to artists/creators; those interactions are parasocial AF, and they don’t owe you shit.

hey @artfight.net this is a really weird rule about Clip Studio Models being tossed out for attacks! Lots of people use those assets professionally so saying the can't be used for attacks is very damaging #ArtFight #ArtFight2026 #ArtFight26

artfight rules
5. Bases, character creators, and dollmakers may be used for character images, but must be credited. They may not be used for attacks.
a. This includes websites like Picrew, HeroForge, video game character creators, and other doll makers.
b. This includes artwork traced from poseable 3D models (such as Clip Studio Paint, Design Doll, and similar programs), self-made bases, and photographs you have taken.

Man, i cant believe this still seems to be a hot take in the big year of 2026 but… Tracing posable 3D models, your own personal photos and reference photos specifically made available for art (think adorkastock, trueref etc) is literally fine.

I can't believe we're going back to this kind of discourse but: Using references isn't cheating Using 3D mannequins and photo references is STANDARD, even for professional artists Shaming people and pushing them to draw exclusively from memory is harmful and can set back people who are learning

I hadnt posted this anywhere, but I really love the way Gangle came out in it, feels fitting to post it and be happy with my lil fav pic 🥺

Gangle is under a spotlight, holding a sketching notebook and a pencil. The eraser is worn down, showing that mistakes are erased excessively while the pencil part for creation isn't used nearly as much as it should. There are eyeballs in the air surrounding her. She is all too familiar with the feeling of being watched. The floor is the blue and red pattern we see sprinkled through the show, with the spotlight being yellow and coming from a place that's out of reach. (I hope this alt text conveys all the feelings in the picture)
