My wife and I got up at 4am. Flew five hours, got here around 5pm, finally had dinner at a speakeasy at 7, then walked to Times Square and back. I am tired but holy cow it's not even been a full day and I'm blown away by New York. Here's King Kong vs Spider-Man next to the Marvel Rivals ramp.

Benefit of being at an airport at 5am is you don't have to worry about long lines. Getting up super early is rough but once you're at the airport and moving quickly it's preferable to large crowds. With luck, the next time I say hi it'll be in New York!

Last day before we fly out for New York. Cleaning and packing all day and then we're off! It's an early morning flight so...uh...probably not gonna sleep tonight lol. Kinda wild how much planning and prep goes into a 1 week trip that'll come and go before I know it lol.

All my pre-travel anxiety is about leaving my dog for a week lol. I know ultimately, she'll be fine and some time away is healthy, but maaaaaaaaaaaaaan it's hard.

I usually play games on the middle/lower levels of hard difficulty. Challenging without being frustrating. I had to turn the difficulty on Silent Hill Townfall down to Story Mode not because it's too difficult, but because it's offensively unfun and I just want to get through the story. A shame.

I promise you that as long as I'm in New York I will never do one of those cringe-inducing finger-pointing-followed-by-pan-to-face tour guide videos. I might, however, run through the streets with a proton pack strapped to my back asking if anyone has seen a ghost.

Man I really wanna do another big Sonic OVA set piece. There's so many to pick from. It's my favorite piece of Sonic media next to SatAM. I think I've done more OVA pieces than I have SatAM lol. Sega please make it into a full series.

New York trip is coming up fast and I coudn't be more ready for it. We leave on Saturday. Will of course be missing my puppers every minute I'm away, but sometimes you need to be brave in the name of living life now and then.

So far the setting, characters, puzzles, and overall story in Townfall is an 8/10 for me but the pacing is absolutely obliterated by the constant stealth gameplay. This game is great in a lot of ways and I'm excited for the experiment, but I think the "11/10" glazing I've seen actually hurts it.

I am struggling to enjoy Silent Hill Townfall. The stealth nature of the game slows the pace to a crawl and makes exploration incredibly difficult and unfun.

Of course Silent Hill Townfall has an annoying as fuck RGB color puzzle. Game studios don't fucking learn.

I remember when Facebook was kind of the big thing and I used it all the time. I'd read article after article shared there, post after post. It absorbed so much of my time. It reached a point where I asked myself "Do I need this?" And so one day I just pruned like 80 percent of what I engaged with.

Dying to play Control 2 but I've gotta play Silent Hill Townfall first, and I take my time with these games. It's the spooky season and we have great spooky games to play.
