yeah absolutely agree, it was infinitely easier before AI. but alas, all we can do is oppose genAI and keep making our art

bc holding back on creating the art we want to make for fear of AI isnt any way to live life or express our artistic passion. i just hope people will always be able to see the intention and soul i put into my work

I feel this worry. i like to try different styles and im fairly decent at emultaing very differents (semi-realistic, graphic, etc), and i worry constantly ppl will think its AI. but ig at the end of the day i just gotta keep making the art i want to make,

I'm crawling through my to do list now that I can sit up again. The neck injury is healing. It was genuinely a terrible time to get injured doing absolutely nothing. If you like novels about disability and queerness, here's my daily reminder to check out the Beyond Bringers print run on backerkit.

Dog Shark 🦈🐶 Carcharocanis familiaris, commonly known as "Shark Puppies", are your best friend from the ocean! #Sharktober2026

A large illustration featuring various "shark-puppies" of different shark species in a variety of poses. They are shown in curious and happy stances, running, sniffing, acting playful, and more!

Below the image, there is a description styled like a scientific species illustration, naming them "Carcharocanis familiaris". This name combines Carcharodon (the genus that includes great white sharks) with Canis (the genus that includes dogs), plus Familiaris to indicate they are domesticated.

You‘re such a gem! I‘d be ecstatic to try my hand at storybooks tbh. I love classic fairytales, and i‘d give anything to pull directly from historical settings and esp medieval inspiration. I’d also love to get back into Greek/latin myths and lit (used to study it) Thank you! 🔗 iliadele.carrd.co

MELT: REFRAIN: A 🔞 queer trans horror novel about toxic corporate vampires in love, and other four-letter words. One part Gothic, one part psychological torment; all sex and death. Everything changes for the worst all the time. What are you going to do about it? Available now on Itch & Payhip. 🪦🕊️

Promo image with the cover of MELT: REFRAIN and extra info. It says: a queer trans corporate Gothic horror novel. Non-linear, multi-POV, first in a series.

The cover illustration features two characters, one in bright red, one in dark teal. The man in red is disheveled and smoking, eyes obscured in shadow, and the man in teal is behind him, mostly obscured and dangling a lowball glass over the first man's shoulder. Smoke drifts up from the cigarette, partially obscuring both their faces. The backdrop is black and dark red, and is textured a little like viscera. The title text has a similar texture and is outline in neon red.

Excerpt from MELT: REFRAIN.

If Simon hadn’t been so desperate already, Hector really would bite him open, drink him half-dry and make him woozy and pliant. But Simon’s saucer-wide pupils and laser focus on the red pooling on Hector’s chin and seeping into his beard belie his composure. It’s not like Hector’s ever been turned—no doubt something out there could mold a vampire into something else, though he’d rather not dwell on the possibility—but he’s got the gist over the years, how it eats and eats and eats at someone if they don’t get what they need. Born vampires have it bad enough already; what exquisite agony something even worse must be, the basest parts of oneself parched and undeniable.

Available now on Itch.io and Payhip.

The image is digital art made up to look like a two color linocut print. It features a geometric twisting snarling tiger. It's flanked by the text "Stay Angry" and "Bite Back" that follows the contours of the tiger.

“Did you too see it drifting all night on the black river? Did you see it in the morning rising into the silvery air?” Odette skateboard for DROP IN: Skate Deck Art Show 🎨

Odette - black& white skateboard design of Odette's transformation and the Swan Maiden in folklore.
Illustration is a football skateboard shape. At the bottom curve is a black border followed by a porcelain edge filigree pattern with dashes/ lines. Inside the curve is a constellation design mimicking the star patterns of Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria known as the "Swan Prince" castle. Grey stars on a white background with fine line ink. Above the border is a metal embossed moon medallion in grey with daisies and a moon. Large stylized white waves morphing into magical energy as they transform Odette are overtop the body of a painted outlined swan turned to the left with its wing folded down with speckled grey patterning mimicking vintage ballet costume patterns.
To the left of the swan is a large silver sacred heart with jewels, radial background, a sword vertically piercing it and an arch with three jewelled stars. Below is a rendered and outlined oval link chain winding behind the elements. To the right of the white swan is a faceted 8 point metal star with fleur de lis arm segments and a large diamond in the middle. Flying through the chain link is a Russian striped folk arrow. Above is the black swan counterpoint Odile flipped in reversed. Over top is a paisley like folk pattern of Russian like embroidery of flowers, vines and curved tear drops in flat toned greys. Above is a matching mirrored medallion of daises but with a sun instead for the time restraints of the spell from the ballet. The top curve is a tangle of branches/dark leaves in black on a lighter black background. Overtop are white fine line inked chamomile flowers in reference to Tchaikovsky's sister Aleksandra who inspired his ballets and the area of Russia they grew up. The border is split into white on the top & black on the bottom. Behind both swans are walls with a tile pattern of black 8 point stars lined in white on a grey background framing an empty space doorway is shaded wall moulding.
