Seeing 'Black Fatigue' (woke) evolve into, 'Black Fatigue' (racist) into, 'Adjective Fatigue' (still racist). A term that was appropriated by racists to describe being racist, flipping the original meaning. It's still racist even if you just replace the word Black, seeing it still gives me the ick

On the YouTube platform, while the production quality is the highest it's been, the performance of my latest album is worse than my first ever uploads when I had 0 subscribers. Years of work to discover a brand new rock bottom. The internet is truely cooked. The void remains as my biggest fan.

I got into music production by listening to a ton of music. Enough for my own ideas to persistently start floating around in my head until I had to start getting those ideas down. And my production improved by how many times I'd see how well they translated from my head, to hearing them for real.

Child me was great with cartoon violence, horror, and gore. Doom, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil 2, so much fun! But even then, the hyper realistic dismemberment scene from Mars Attacks was too much. So sudden, along with the closeup of the finger as it sinks in the fish tank. Gave me nightmares 😂

Combat is deeper than just holding the fire button down. Use infighting and let enemies do their thing as you focus on progression, then clean up the rest.

You do control movement with the mouse as that's how you steer. My point is that steering and aiming are not only equally as important, but are also the same thing. Movement is also momentum based in these titles, where having inbetween values of the 8 cardinal directions isn't very beneficial.

KB&M is ideal, a controller is a compromise. These old games are too fast where you'd see any benefit of an analog joystick over digital buttons for movement. And it doesn't matter if you're trying to line your crosshair up with an enemy, or a platform. Movement and precision are one and the same.

All my life I've heard, "Limitations breed creativity", but I feel more like, limitations cap ambition. Being creative and able to think outside the box is nice n all, but sometimes you just wanna make the thing do the thing, without some workaround or compromise.

I had actual matches when playing Reflex Arena but I don't think I ever found an active lobby playing this game. At least the stages looked pretty and the remote controlled rockets ala Half Life was cool.

Examples off the top of my head, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3 Nemesis take place at the same time. Half-Life, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift take place at the same time. Halo 2, and Halo 3 ODST take place at the same time.

It's fascinating to me when something specific gets referred to in a derogatory way enough times for people to realise how useful it is to have a word for it, so it ends up becoming the established term. See the Noob Combo in Halo, or Brostep in the EDM scene. Boomer Shooter probably qualifies too.
