Title IX provisions have been reduced or removed, and it feels as though bullying is lauded by our administration. YUK. Thankfully, NYC has stronger protections in place, but I c an't imagine how many kids feel more vulnerable now.

I'm doing training to become a sub paraprofessional in the NYC school system, and it's appalling how many of the strides we've taken have been pushed back--a Time article from 2013 had Laverne Cox on the cover, with Time proclaiming "The Transgender Tipping Point."

Left with no other choice, Shen Qiao could only take a sip of soup first, then pry open Yan Wushi’s jaw and feed it to him, mouth-to-mouth. He used his tongue to hold the other man's down and forced the soup into him. Like this, he managed to make him drink one or two mouthfuls with great difficulty

I'm doing training to become a substitute paraprofessional, and currently reviewing an autism workshop; the first thing they say is that one should not rush to a diagnosis, even though there might be signs. Me: Immediately thinks, "Oh! That's me!" when describing certain characteristics of autism.
