Canis floofus goofus, in his splendor, atop a hill of snow. He is black, with hints of dark brown, a white blaze on his chest, and muzzle starting to show his middle-age. He is otherwise a complete floof, and a total goof, and wishes he had a pile of snow to luxuriate on right now, because it's too damned hot and humid.

So this is a huge sign at a local "business"...stated that way bc it never appears to have any. Note the smaller *No Trespassing* sign stuck on it? Want to know what's written in sharpie in the white space? "4th Amendment" - that's what. Been puzzling over it for a couple weeks now....

A huge red sign with white lettering, reading "Make America Healthy Again" which has been up since approximately 2023 or so, outside a local business. I won't identify what or where this place is, as its owner is quite odd and doesn't deserve any more notoriety.
However, they have pasted a smaller no trespassing sign on both sides, and added "4th Amendment" in permanent marker.
This has lead to some head scratching. Does the owner understand that the 4th Amendment applies only to government entities trying to gain access to private property? Does the owner intend to shelter people in need of sanctuary...unlikely, given their well-known political stance...like, what is going on here....

Text exchange between me and newly minted 20-something offspring, just after he'd given me a bunch of "help me, I'm not able to use my eyeballs goodly enough, even though I'm pulling a 4 point 0 G.P.A.
I ask him: Are you going to give me part-time secretarial pay" and "I make $30 per hour as a tutor, just saying"
(Note - I've stopped punctuating texts to him, as doing so is anathema to Gen Z)
His response: No
My counteroffensive: "Ebenezer Scrooge" a pause, then, "May I have another lump of coal, it's rather cold in the counting room, Mr. Scrooge"
His deeply thought-out reply: "No"

This is our Abby - also born April of 2010 (full name is Abigail Adams, tbh). It's a slow unraveling that is hard to predict and know what comes next, but we try to honor the dog she always has been - loving & strangely cat-like... My heart is with you & yours in grief and in keeping their memories.

A snoozing 15 year-old black lab German shepherd mix. She's on the couch, which has been routinely covered in piddle pads, topped by old bed sheets, for months. She is all black - a black that is inky, and her fur is supremely soft, especially her ears - but her muzzle gives away her age, as it's all white now.

This kid of mine - really is amazing, but easily as hard on himself as his dad & me combined. Works so hard. Thought baseball was going to be his life; wrestling put opportunities in his path where nothing else did. He's surrounded by awesome humans on his team.
