That was fab. So many memories of Saturday nights in front of the telly. Dad would pop out and get the weekly Chinese takeaway. Absolute bliss. I don’t bother with game shows now. Maybe I’m getting old but they don’t seem the same anymore. I miss the days of three channels - it was better, somehow.

Farage plans to ditch workers’ rights, cut the NMW, scrap the Equality Act, legalise discrimination, take us out of the ECHR and have a deregulation bonanza to remove our protections and make it easier to exploit and endanger us… for profit. He couldn’t give a shit about working people.

As with all things, tech improves with time. You don’t need to live in the south of Spain to get real benefits from solar power. And it will keep on improving. And you can develop it relatively quickly, unlike the years it will take to get at more oil, which will solve nothing.

It’s a no brainer if ever there was one. We have to strengthen and speed up the shift to renewables. The less fossile fuel we consume the better, and it ant come fast enough. The likes of Farage would try to derail this and shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the levers of power.
