I love just how much game rewards for precision play. Same with most early Capcom games like SF2. So, clumsy plays (like mine on later levels) means the game punishes you hard. With games like SoR2, the range of acceptable clumsy play is much bigger, so it's easier to get into.

More than that. Capcom Engineers are doing implementation of Microsoft's tech BETTER than Microsoft. And making them all open source. I can't stress enough, just how impressive Capcom Engineers are.

So the fastest JSON serializer for .NET now is developed by CAPCOM as part of their game engine that powers Resident Evil /Biohazard

Tech in the screenshot is made by Microsoft. And Capcom's version of tech is doing much better than Microsoft'own. And they made it open source. And not just this but other gamedev tech. I can't stress enough just how good Capcom Engineers are.

I'm glad those are getting called out. I'm just sad actual, brilliant innovations get buried under all that senseless noise.

I've worked with engineering - brilliant people who build these boring tools which then leads to incredible products (in gamedev's case, enable artist to realize their creativity). But rarely get credit. Seeing another team's brilliant work getting buried under outrage and misinformation got me.

Discussing nuance is useless. People much rather stay in their bubble and be outraged, so be it.
