Healthcare organizations blocking AI adoption entirely are not gaining safety. They are losing visibility. Jenn Johnson, EVP of Privacy and Security at Kuma, has spent her career watching what happens when governance cannot keep pace with where AI is already operating inside healthcare workflows.

86% of organizations delayed AI agent rollouts by an average of six months. Gartner predicts over 40% of agentic AI projects will be canceled by end of 2027. The technology is not the problem. Ownership is.

A freelancer paid £400 to an AI law firm. She was owed £7,000. The other side showed up with a solicitor and a barrister. She won. Both the claim and the counterclaim against her. In the same stretch, two elite law firms had to self-report AI hallucinations in actual court filings.

82% of business leaders call this the pivotal year to redesign with AI. 62% of employees feel their leaders are overlooking the emotional cost of doing so. That gap is where small business AI adoption quietly breaks down.

Most org charts were built to show who reports to whom. They were not built for a world where AI agents can draft, analyze, route, and initiate actions without direct supervision. That gap is where accountability quietly disappears.

99.5% of organizations already implement some form of AI literacy intervention. Yet more than four in ten employees are minimally prepared to work alongside AI agents. Exposure to AI does not guarantee readiness for it.

Salesforce has over 50 individual use cases across government agencies. And the average cost of a data breach is almost $5 million. For public sector organizations handling citizen data, that number carries political and legal consequences too.

A company reportedly burned through its entire 2026 AI budget in four months. Five major AI headlines this week. Different stories. One missing answer in all of them: who actually owns this decision?

AI has a way of making organizational problems impossible to ignore. Bud Caddell, Founder of NOBL, has spent his career watching it happen. His take on why AI adoption stalls is one of the most honest perspectives I have come across.

Creatives are not being replaced by AI. The ones who figure out how to work alongside it are just going to be significantly harder to compete with.

돌다리도 두들겨 보고 건너라. Even a stone bridge should be tapped before you cross it. 98% of AI companies in South Korea do not yet have a compliance system in place for the AI Basic Act that took effect in January. The bridge looks solid. Almost nobody has tapped it yet.

The World Cup just showed us what AI-powered sports looks like at scale. Real-time stats. Personalized fan experiences. Social media protection for players. And the next Olympics is already raising the bar even further.

A CEO recently fired engineers who did not immediately sign up to try the company's AI tool. It made headlines. For all the wrong reasons. Over 75% of organizations are using generative AI. The ones getting adoption right are not mandating it.

The AI tools that get abandoned all have one thing in common. They were built for the demo. Not for the person using them.

You are not just paying for AI once. You are paying in dollars. And in the proprietary knowledge you hand over just to make it useful. Satya Nadella wrote about this. It has not left me since.

79% of organizations are already using AI agents. Over half have achieved broad or full adoption. The technology is here. The trust and control mechanisms to support it are still catching up.

We keep talking about AI adoption because it keeps being hard to sustain. And that is exactly why it is worth revisiting. Claire Engels, Senior Manager at Versuni, has seen what happens when organizations skip the fundamentals and try to scale before habits are built.

51% of MSPs say governance and compliance is their primary barrier to AI readiness. Not technical expertise. Not security. Not integration. Governance. AI readiness is not a tooling problem. It is an operational one.

A Chief Strategy Officer fired half her AI agents. Not because the technology failed. Because she was spending more time supervising them than doing actual work. Sol Rashidi called it "botsitting." And it is more common than most organizations want to admit.

In 2022, the GAO audited 17 federal agencies on electronic record-keeping compliance. Only 1 passed. Out of 17. And the US federal government spends over $100 billion on IT each year, with most of it going toward maintaining the legacy systems causing the problem.

Organizations that invested in maturing IT processes were 6x less likely to be breached than those spending the same resources on cybersecurity tools. Greg van der Gaast, Founder of Sequoia Consulting, has seen this pattern across intelligence work and CISO leadership. The fix is rarely more tools.

After the Microsoft AI tools guide dropped, the same three questions kept coming up. Where is Copilot Chat? What is Scout for? And why is there no governance layer for any of them? This version answers all three. Nine tools. And every single one now has a governance check next to it.

The AI economy just crossed $175 billion in annualized revenue. In 2023 it took 180 days to add each new $1 billion. Today it takes less than two days. The money is moving faster than most organizations can govern it.

Companies that implement AI governance get 12 times more AI projects into production. Not 12 percent more. 12 times. Most organizations still treat governance as the thing that slows AI down. The data says the opposite.

In 2024, there were over 40,000 reported security vulnerabilities. A 38.6% increase from the year before. Most of them did not come from a lack of security tools. They came from having too many, poorly integrated ones.

63% of organizations have fully or partially implemented a zero trust strategy. Yet CIOs and CTOs are still asking the same question: "We have zero trust in place. So why are our people bypassing the system?"

Companies are quietly rolling back promotions for remote employees. Only 46% of employees feel adequately supported in their career advancement. In a world where 32.6 million Americans will work remotely by 2025, that number should stop every leader in their tracks.

Copilot Cowork went live this week. The billing started. And most organizations have no idea what hits July 1. The math every CIO needs to run before enabling Cowork in their tenant is not complicated. But skipping it will be costly.

AI can find talent faster than ever. It still cannot tell you who will hold a team together when things get hard. After talking with Travis Hann, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Pender & Howe, here is what separates leaders who build teams that last from those who just fill seats quickly:

AI in the public sector runs on one thing: clean, secure, well-governed data. 69% of state government data management strategies are still in the beginning stages. That gap is what makes AI adoption harder than it needs to be.

Senior government leaders are not asking what AI can do anymore. They are asking how to make it stick. Three things separate AI experimentation from real transformation: a solid data foundation, use cases tied to actual pain points, and governance that earns trust.

Meta was fined $1.3 billion for violating GDPR. Non-compliance is not a minor risk anymore. 90% of organizations report difficulties in their cloud adoption journeys, and traditional data governance models are not built for multi-cloud environments.

Your organization is storing data it collected, forgot about, and still pays to keep: Old SharePoint files. Abandoned Teams channels. Stale OneDrive links never revoked. That's dark data, and it was a quiet problem until you turned on Copilot.

Your AI proof of concept worked. The demo impressed. Leadership celebrated. And then… nothing. Only 11.7% of organizations move directly from AI validation to full production. The PoC isn't the problem > It's that most orgs have no defined path for what comes after success.
