I know pretty much nothing about Fire Emblem but I do know that whenever a new Doronbo gang expy is born an angel gets its wings

Can't get enough of this anime. #art #fireemblem #fefw

A screenshot redraw of the classic anime Yatterman, instead of the Doronbo Gang, we have Tobias, Theodora & Bonaventure from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.

(Tobias as Tonzura, Theodora being Doronjo, Bonaventure as Boyacky)

Tobias, Thoedora, and Bonaventure are excitedly standing in an arena celebrating victory. They look a little rough from battle.

It is the famous screenshot of Doronjo eating fries.

I love the Doronbo Gang #art #fireemblem #fefw

The main Saramis trio; Bonaventure, Theodora, & Tobias from Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. All three posed and drawn in a way that calls back and is tribute to the Doronbo Gang from the classic anime, Yatterman.

Theodora being Doronjo, Bonaventure as Boyacky, & Tobias as Tonzura.

Their team name, "Megaira's Beacon," from when they participate during the Heroic Games is written above them.

Bad news: The newsletters didn’t have anything, and the section on Kiramekiman in this magazine was extremely short. Good news: The magazine had (what appears to be) something about an unproduced Tatsunoko anime?????????? Something called “Jungle Patrol”… from the April 1999 issue of Animedia.

Information on Kiramekiman and an anime titled “Jungle Patrol”, from the April 1999 issue of Animedia.

Information on both Kiramekiman and “Jungle Patrol”, written in Japanese.

LRP yes I’m still thinking about that scene

(spoilers) During this scene where the Doronbo gang have split up and are now going their separate ways… I’m not sure if my translation is correct, but I think Tonzura is saying “Boyayan (Boyacky) built me a Time Machine so I can meet some geishas… my face is irresistible to the ladies!!” (dies)

btw I forgot to say this earlier but this was the funniest scene from the finale by far. go grandpa

Fascinated by this user on Reddit who found a bootleg(?) lenticular Yatterman ruler while going through some things from their childhood. They’re from the US and have no clue how it could’ve ended up here. I’ve never seen this before either… possibly an arcade prize??

A lenticular ruler featuring various Yatterman characters on it.

Just finished up one of the commissions we are currently working on; an artistic liberty design based off of gothic cathedrals, bats, and subtle ace flag color rep! 💜🤍🩶🖤

Does anyone have any details regarding some of the weird localized(?) episode titles for Yatterman 2008 on AnimeNewsNetwork? They seem fan-made, but some of these names are really odd. Goosefish...

Writing this down frantically before I immediately forget: Just woke up from a dream where I found a Tonzura plushie at a store, but it was the size of my hand and it was in the hardware section (???) and it had something along the lines of “I kind of smell” as a decal on his chest.

I’ve been wanting to research Kiramekiman merchandise again. I think the photo posted below comes from a UFO catcher/prize toy convention. This magazine was published during the shows initial broadcast, and contains information about those types of events, so I hope to find a copy one day…

The June 15th issue of キャラ通, featuring information on various toys/merchandise.

A section from the magazine, showing a photo of various merchandise released by Banpresto circa 2000.

I was given the kind of hyperfixation that causes you to look at Google for three hour intervals

I’m just now realizing I have three hypothetical nickels because of the matador scene from Episode 52. Is this just something he does now.

Doronjo and Boyacky’s wishes are both fairly grand, but Tonzura just wanting a wife who will feed him home cooked meals is oddly mundane and kind of sad lol

I want to try and recreate this guy… he was a really fun project. I had to hand-stitch everything, but I was so happy with how the color blocking turned out (like his belt). I think I might’ve found the same skintone shade I used previously, but I still need to search for minky for his outfit.

>OOMFs grew up in the Philippines and doesn’t remember watching it (they remember watching other lost CN anime English dubs) >There’s a comment on the LMW article for the dub that says “The characters look familiar, but I don’t remember this airing here in Malaysia.” Where the fuck did this air.

Watching Episode 59 of Yatterman 2008 now. I’m very close to the series finale. The Doronbo gang making fun of each other’s wishes…

A screenshot of a Tweet showing a cute puppy being held with its paws outstretched. The caption reads:

“STOOOOOOOOP FIGHTIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!”

Would love to somehow find a high resolution version of that English poster someday. It’s a bit hard to tell due to the resolution, but I think this is the same logo.

Personal pet peeve of mine when it comes to sewing plushies is whenever glue is involved. There’s some projects where glue is a necessity, but I’ve seen tutorials where the artist attaches entire LIMBS with glue and I’m like 😦

Movie was really good, I was surprised at how serious it got at times. The Doronbo gang are a bit overshadowed by the new villain but story-wise it makes sense. Would watch again.

On Episode 58 of Yatterman 2008, I think I’m going to take a break from the main series and watch the theatrical film now… seeing as how it takes me forty minutes to finish a regular episode because I’m always taking screenshots, I suspect it’ll take me… roughly three hours to finish the movie LOL

Only 5 episodes left of Yatterman 2008… (sniffles wetly)… I really liked the Dokuro Ring Hunter from Episode 55, and Boyacky yelling out Ohana’s name at the end was cute too.

Bought two newsletters and a magazine that I’m (hoping) have some early news coverage of Kiramekiman in them… I’m fairly positive the magazine will have something in it, since it was used as a citation in an early Time Bokan fansite… but there wasn’t anything in the table of contents 🤔

Some really unusual Yatterman figures that I found on Carousell Hong Kong the other day. I’d never seen them before until this listing, but they’re really flat, and they kind of remind me of fridge magnets lol

Figures of Doronjo, Odate Buta, and a smoke cloud from Yatterman.
