Bugatti Destrier looks like a swan song of Bugatti's VW-era. Unfortunately it's just a one-off, but like its Bolide sibling it shows the potential and range of the original W16 architecture. Tourbillion despite its V16 engine looks a bit derivative compared to the W16 range

Two Bell 214ST collided mid-air when the tube of one of them crashed into the main rotor of the other, probably due to proximity error by the pilot of the higher flying helicopter. They were operating during the wildfires near Athens and currently all 214STs are suspended.

The NASA Graphics Standards Manual* (1976) includes specific guidelines for aircraft liveries, explicitly stating that the NASA seal (let alone the meatball logo) should never be used alongside the new "worm" logo. Modernization is fine, but this is simply wrong.

Ο βασικός λόγος για το παραπάνω είναι ότι αν φτάσει ο πιλότος να κρίνει ότι μπορεί να κάνει τέτοιου είδους αναγκαστική προσγείωση ξέρει ότι έχει τον έλεγχο και μπορεί να την εκτελέσει. Τα περισσότερα μαχητικά έχουν σχεδιαστεί με πρόβλέψη ώστε να μπορέσει να γίνει αυτό με ασφάλεια

Αυτό είναι το πιο ευνοϊκό σενάριο, σε εκτινάξεις σε χαμηλό ύψος συνήθως οι πιθανότητες τραυματισμού είναι πολύ μεγαλύτερες. Σε έρευνες σε μεγάλο δείγμα εκτινάξεων κάτω απο 500ft η επιβίωση ήταν κάτω απο 60% (και η πιθανότητα σοβαρού τραυματισμού επίσης τεράστια).

Ανάλογα τις συνθήκες όπου θα γίνει η εκτίναξη, το ρίσκο τραυματισμού ή και θανάτου είναι πολύ μεγάλο, πχ για το ACES II των ελληνικών F-16 το ρίσκο μεγάλου τραυματισμού δεν πέφτει ποτέ κάτω απο το 9% σε οποιεσδήποτε συνθήκες. Στη πράξη συνήθως είναι πολύ μεγαλύτερο.

Υπάρχει η εντύπωση (απο ταινίες κλπ) ότι το εκτινασσόμενο κάθισμα είναι κάτι σαν το save σε παιχνίδι, πατας ένα κουμπί και σώθηκες. Αυτό δεν ισχύει. Προφανώς τα εκτ. καθ. έχουν σώσει χιλιάδες ζωές και η προσφορά τους είναι ανεκτίμητη, όμως είναι η τελευταία λύση ανάγκης

VW under Piëch made a huge investment in Bugatti. Even with limited direct profits, the indirect halo effect was enormous, a W16 Bugatti was unmistakably and proudly a VW product. Unfortunately, Dieselgate and VW’s poor EV strategy crippled what Bugatti under VW could have been.

Tourbillon's engine is developed and produced fully by Cosworth (once owned by Audi!), the hybrid system is made by Rimac and components by Divergent. The W16 cars also used external suppliers (ex Ricardo made the DSG gearbox) but the engine and overall engineering was by VW
