@demonofnowhere.bsky.social and I have been losing our minds over those Storybook Workshop videos, she shared her creation with this damned earth so it’s only fair I share mine. I may have lost my mind a little.

This is a parody of the Storybook Workshop series on the Thomas & Friends YouTube channel. The text reads as follows:

One day, Thomas, Percy and Toby were at their train shed. Percy was very scared.

"There's a ghost train," he said. "It's on the Ffarquhar branch line somewhere. Oh, it makes my wheels wobble!"

"Oh!" said Toby.

"There, there, Percy," comforted Thomas, "Ghosts aren't real." But poor Percy wasn't so sure. He told Sir Topham Hatt.

"Ghosts aren't real," smiled Sir Topham Hatt. "There's only pretend ones." Percy was relieved. He was busy all day playing sports and shunting trucks in the engine yards. That evening, he came back late. He was scared again and wasn't watching out.

"Look out, Percy!"

Poor Percy upset a cart full of flour meant for merchants to make money.

"Oh," said Percy, "I'm very sorry."

"That's all right," said Terence the Tractor, "At least you weren't hurt. But you should get yourself cleaned." He showed Percy a mirror to see what he looked like. Percy was surprised!

"That's me!" he said, "But I look like a ghost!" Then he had a cheeky idea. He met Toby at a signal booth.
"Oh!" said Toby; he promised to help.

Thomas was having a nap before his last passenger run to Knapford Station. Toby walked in, very scared.

"I saw the ghost, Thomas. I'm very scared."

"No ghost will scare my best pals," said Thomas, "Don't be scared, Toby. I'll protect you." Then there was a ghostly whistle and a ghostly voice.

"Hello! I'm a ghost!"

"Oh dear," said Thomas. "I'll be late for my passenger run to Knapford Station. Goodbye."

The next day, Percy was cleaned and Sir Topham Hatt ate his favorite cereal as he watched another ghost serial. Thomas puffed into the train yard.

"Are you okay, Thomas?" asked Toby.

"Yes," said Thomas, "That was a good joke you played."

Everyone laughed. Even Sir Topham Hatt.

i know a lot of people are like "live for spite!!!" and i 100% support that if that's what keeps you going but if it doesn't work for you you can live for a variety of reasons, including "read book that isn't out yet", "love", "step on a crunchy leaf", "look at the river", "pat a creature" etc
