A24 announces that they want to put storyboard artists out of work. That's what the headline should be written as. Becuase we should be honest about what these AI "tools" are trying to do, and who it is trying to circumvent. variety.com/2026/film/ne...

That does it for Animation April 2026! Ignore the fact I finished it a month late. Whoops!! Thanks to everybody who was keeping tabs on this thread, be it once in awhile or actively anticipating each review. The real Animation April are the friends I made along the way :D

A top 3 list of my favorite animated movies I saw this April. From numerical order: Inu-Oh, The Adventures of Mark Twain, and Fritz the Cat

A bottom 3 list of my least favorite animated movies I saw this April. From numerical order: Bubble Bath, Cool World, and The Legend of Hei

A pie chart of each movie I watched’s country of origin. I watched 12 movies from America, 7 from Japan, 6 from France. Only watched one film from Britain, Slovakia, Algeria, China, Hungary, Czechia each

Average Rating for the films: 6.5/10
Decade I watched the most: 2000s
I only watched two female directors out of 29

“Creative breakthroughs happen when visionary storytellers are given access to transformative tools”-- Actually, creative breakthroughs happen when people don't have to drink brown water from data center waste. This is not cool or accessible, this is disingenuous & disappointing.
