It’s a shame that Patreon has made it much harder for photographers who shoot nudes. They require each model to independently provide age and release information, which is absurd. It’s not practical or secure for models rather than a single release with the photographer.

100% I’ve commented to other people that if I were looking for sales reps that I’d hire a retiring art model in a heartbeat. The tenacity and work ethic as well as self confidence needed to get the shoots themselves is something not widely understood.

That’s pretty sad. Sex Ed here in Australia in the 70s was basic but compulsory at school and accurate. The attitude towards sex overall was pretty relaxed for most people that I knew. Although a little religious, my parents were open about it, and growing up on a farm we knew about things early.

Maybe a generational thing? It’s not a conversation that I’ve even had with mates about things. I’m in my 60s. Were people in the 70s-00s more accepting? I only heard the term “body count” for the first time in the last few years, and that was in a podcast. Never heard it in Australia at all.

Put a Fjorden grip on your phone… manual controls at your fingertips. Also seeing as there is no viewfinder you can control the shot without having to move it from the subject at all…. Another iPhone pic.

Download the free Fjorden App and have manual controls. You also have 3 prime lenses by default, panoramic software, inbuilt exposure bracketing, etc etc. Don’t discount a phone just because it’s a phone camera. I still love my A7RV but completely disagree re creative control.

No, that’s not true. You can shoot in RAW using an iPhone and edit it either in the built in photos app, or Snapseed, Photomator etc.

There are just some things that the small phone sensor limits, eg low light performance unless you really lean into computational photography. Depth of field is much harder to get right on a phone. That being said, in many ways my old iPhone 15 Pro Max does a better job than my older D90.

I disagree strongly. The camera used doesn’t determine if it’s art or not, the content and results do. The best camera in the universe can produce rubbish if used poorly or in bad taste. You’d be surprised about which shots I used a phone instead of my DSLR or FF mirrorless to take.

Yeah, I'm pretty used to appealing just about every post that I put up when they say "Explicit sexual" when it's a nude posing classically in a landscape lol. What is annoying is that it doesn't seem to matter if you label it as "containing nudity" the explicit tag seems to be the default.
