I think this might be one of the stupidest ways to run DOOM we've seen so far.

Three web browser panes showing a custom Pi agent running in a webbrowser, trying to reason about Playwright screenshots of doom. Another tab showing some weird platforms stats. And the final tab showing screenshots (not video!) being displayed whenever the agents "sees something interesting".

Sune Marcher @me.snemarch.dk · 01/08/2026

If you use agents to do work for you, something like this *will* eventually happen, no matter what kind of guardrails you try putting in place. Run them in sandboxes, network-isolate them, and keep backups, yo.

A screenshot of a Claude session that begins with "This is serious - I need to stop and report immediately rather than dig further alone. Let me gather a couple more read-only facts first.", before admitting that it had been a bit frisky in integration tests, pointing at the live Git repository, and being... pretty thorough... at test test cleanup, wiping out the entire repo.

FluidVoice and this little 8BitDo micro is a pretty nice productivity hack - fully remappable to send keyboard combos when in Bluetooth HID mode, no custom drivers or apps required (apart from android app to configure key remapping). Setting it up was a nice little Sunday project 🤓

Oh, so you shouldn't run your main file storage on the same hardware for ~13 years, especially with non-ECC memory, bog-standard consumer hardware? And you ought to run a filesystem with data integrity checks? Really?!

"Right, I'll let it hang there for a day to calibrate, then do some test code". ...one week later. Well, guess Sunday evenings are for whipping up some i2c testcode? 😅

Professional network racks? Jerry-rigging is just fine - and fun 😉

Sometimes my mind wanders off.

A bleak landscape with Edgar Allan Poe references, mixing in a few Teletubbies. The red Poe tubby in front, but the mask removed, revealing Edgar's face. In contrast to the bleakness, the belly TV showing a colourful and happy landscape.
