Our failure to see this, of course, is the history of these twenty-five years. We were provoked, and we did what the terrorists wanted. Then Trump himself normalized terrorism by seeking to stay in power by the use of force in 2021.

But I'm going to say this slowly and stubbornly for the folks who still don't get it:
When Democrats win the House majority in a few weeks, @RepJeffries who has kept his caucus remarkably unified and has been historically successful at controlling the House floor from the minority- WILL become the first Black Speaker of the House.
That's not speculation. That's how this will work because he has done the work from leading to recruiting to raising the necessary funds for the team to compete.
So argue, complain, handwring, write your think pieces, post your threads, curse me out.
Hell, do what you need to do.
The vast majority of us are focused on winning the damn majority in both chambers and addressing the needs of the American people.
