They don't seem to want to upset Temu Tommy's fans (I suppose after platforming Farage these last 10 years and being culpable in the Rise of The Morons they want to downplay it)

Daredevil has just began a new run, only up to Issue 6 and you can jump in at 1 with no problems. And I second the Ryan North Fantastic Four run that I saw someone else recommend.

I remember enjoying it, was so fantastic seeing a Doctor Who story live. Found the pic I saw

Jon Pertwee dressed as Doctor Who walking along the Bristol Harbourside in 1989

Would love to see you do a long Spidey run , also not on your list but I would love to see you tackle Doctor Who

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Jon is the only Doctor I have met, I saw him at stage door when The Ultimate Adventure came to Bristol (saw some lovely pics of him as the dr walking around harbourside the other day from then), remember him being lovely with us fans

Same here, I had been watching since the end of Tom's time so there was still new Who for me to discover through ukgold and the videos

Have loved all era's but it's always exciting knowing a new one is coming, also the break will hopefully make regular viewers miss it and be excited for it's return similar to 2005

#DoctorWho #TwinPeaks #XFiles #Babylon5 #Stargate #Batman #Bond #StarWars #BlakesSeven #Supernatural 1 & 2 set in stone, 3 &4 would change order depending on mood, others came to mind quickly but ask tomorrow and order may change

I did this a few years ago and sold as a set very easily on ebay, I put a link on here or x under the Who hashtag , made enough to replace them immediately and still have a nice profit (also think they look better on the shelf too)

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

No overt continuity either, just The Doctor and companion travelling time and space (though would expect a Dalek story but just make it a cracking standalone Dr vs Dalek story )

Let's go for season 5 to be different

000

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Told you it was an unpopular opinion 😁 (Intrestingly every time it's veered into the direction of "hardly for kids" It's been pulled back)

010

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

My unpopular fan opinion is that #DoctorWho is a children's show and there's nothing wrong with that (or in still liking it as an adult) and the same goes for the books (to me they felt compatible with the tv shows that aired alongside them which is surely the point of tie in novels)

I want the Prime Minister to look into a TV camera and say the RNLI are heroes, that we do not change policy by street violence in this country, and that he expects any criminal action to face the full force of the law. That's it. That's all he has to do.

The Walter Simonson FF is my favourite run, such a shame it's so short

My head canon is this story and The Daleks are set in 1963 and the TARDIS is trying to return Ian and Barbra to Earth untill the dr screws things up pressing the fast return switch

I've just seen that Clacton's turnout is 43%, 15%+ lower than the 2024 election. By-election turnouts are always lower but this has been a lot more high-profile than most and Farage has made the entire thing "let's show the establishment how much voters like me!" Pathetic. Cucked. Mogged by a bin.

That's fine by me, it was a silly thing to do when they knew the show probably wasn't returning, they should have just kept the original ending

000

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

Yeah, it's a good template, maybe wait till 2nd series to explain the Billie regeneration too (I think if Chris had done s2 then rtd would have shown a 8th dr flashback regen to explain concept ahead of s3)

Go and treat yourself to this, a great sci-fi fantasy series

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

I hope that dosen't happen for a long time once the show returns as I feel it needs to be 100% new and continuity free to grab the next generation of children (maybe hold back all the fannish stuff for the 70th)

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Tom was my first but Jon is still the only doctor i have met 🙂

000

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Agree completely, the variety of stories the show can tell always means some of them won't click for some of us, there isn't any flawless era. (I do like Lux too)

110

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Definitely should have just kept the original ending so we were left with The Doctor out there having adventures

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Yeah, just posted and that was definitely one i mentioned as a big favourite (was very encouraging to me back then about the new era)

000

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

The RTD2 era was ok and enjoyable , stories like Wild Blue Yonder, Boom, 73 Yards ,Story & The engine, Devils Chord and The Well have become favourites that I can rewatch happily. #DoctorWho

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Feels inevitable unfortunately, hopefully it won't be too long before we get more, just wish they had kept the original ending leaving The Doctor out there #DoctorWho

Such a shame they didn't just keep the original ending of the last series and just leave us with The Doctor out there having adventures

Unfortunately not, I was 9 at the time but it was a great nostalgic watch.

Can't recommend this highly enough, Any of you who like sci-fi and/or fantasy should give this a shot. A brilliant engaging story with gorgeous art

152

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

I think they should have kept this ending, maybe an added scene to give a Survival style ending speech once they realised the show wouldn't be straight back

050

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

Hopefully one of the several hundred variant covers will be better

020

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

So just saw it's 30 years since Jon Pertwee passed away, still the only Doctor i have seen in person (stage door after the dr who play) so think my insomnia viewing tonight will be my favourite 3rd dr story Carnival of Monsters

000

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 20/05/2026

One of my favourite covers, strangely i also remember that this was also the point i completed my target collection ending a run of buying them with my pocket money each week so it was disapointing knowing I would have a wait weeks for the next one!

010

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 17/05/2026

It's a story I always found boring on audio (my cardinal sin for a Who story) , the animation suits the story and improves it inmensley

010

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 14/05/2026

The delayed vhs release a few days before the UK transmission date. There was such optimism about it and I know I liked it and loved Paul's doctor (and the non fans who I knew did enjoy it too when they watched on tv)

010

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 13/05/2026

They are the reason I hate fandom and just potter along on my own. Please stay (Always amazes me that these nasty idiots claim to be a fan of a character who would hate and opposite them)

020

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

My nostalgia favourite, back in mid80's as kids we were allowed to rent 1 video each weekend and I always chose one of the handful of Dr Who's but picked Pyramids most times, so much so that the next xmas my Dad spent the £40 to buy it for me as he reasoned that was cheaper 😁

110

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

That's still terrible, the returned episode has shown how bad AI recons are (fair enough to people who enjoy them but like the animations they are alternative versions not the real thing) Audio with telesnaps is my preference for the missing 95

010

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 08/04/2026

The most wonderful imaginative show and probably my favourite complete series,

020

mdonaghue75.bsky.social @mdonaghue75.bsky.social · 08/04/2026

Hopefully the recovery of the two episodes and the vast differences between them and his supposedly ",exactly as they were shown from my notes" slop ends any discussion of AI being the future (I notice he is deathly silent too this week 😁)
