I believe diversity is a strength, never a weakness. It opens doors to new perspectives, fresh ideas and a brighter future for all. On the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, let’s celebrate the culture and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Kentuckians—today and every day.

It’s cruel and unacceptable to cut food programs for our most vulnerable people when affording basic needs is becoming more difficult by the day. I'm calling on those in D.C. to take action to help the more-than-80,000 Kentuckians facing hunger due to the President's SNAP cuts.

When Trump calls for violence, he's not being figurative or fanciful. He actually wants his enemies to be shot. What happened to Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Sebastian Duran Guerrero was the natural outcome of regime policy. More will die until the tyrant is stopped.

Trump's cuts to SNAP are causing more than 5 million Americans – including 1 million children – to go hungry. Food is life-giving and meant to be shared. Turning a blind eye when our neighbors are struggling to get food is unacceptable.

More than 80,000 Kentuckians are now facing hunger due to President Trump's changes to SNAP. I am calling on the U.S. Department of Agriculture and members of Kentucky’s congressional delegation to take action and protect our people.

Right now, more than 48 million Americans – including 14 million children – are struggling with hunger. Those numbers are growing as prices skyrocket due to Trump's war and tariffs. Please check on your neighbors and lend a hand if you're able to help. We'll get through this together.

The last public execution in America was in 1936. A young black man in Kentucky was hanged by a drunk executioner; a news story said "They Ate Hotdogs While a Man Died." Was such an embarrassment that the governor outlawed it 18 months later www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Chicago started burning on October 8, 1871. Here is a Chicago magazine story I wrote five years ago, for the 150th anniversary:

As the city marks the 150th anniversary of the defining event, ROBERT LOERZEL mines the archival record to offer a compelling portrait of what it was like to live through those disastrous days.

I've made it a priority to provide relief from rising prices caused by the war and unlawful tariffs for hardworking families. Today I took further action by declaring a state of emergency to allow farmers and truckers to use untaxed or dyed diesel fuel on public roadways.

Healthcare is a basic human right, and hardworking Americans shouldn't be burdened by overwhelming medical debt. By taking action to erase $250 million in medical debt for 130,000 Kentuckians, we're helping folks get ahead and improving credit scores to make the dream of owning a home a reality.
