A reminder Mark Carney said this back in 2019 as the Bank of England's governor. Canada continues to be waist-deep in fossil fuels and way behind on climate action since he took office. It’s time we change that and demand real nation building. #EarthDay

It’s International Long Covid Awareness Day. One of the best things you can do to support people with Long Covid is wear a mask (ideally a respirator like an N95). Masks break chains of transmission. They prevent infection. The only way to avoid Long Covid is to avoid Covid!

As a part of a healthy democracy, I think it’s important for us to be constructively critical of all parties. And on that front, I think it’s deeply uninspiring to frame a party as being the solution to our systemic problems, rather than proposing actionable solutions (e.g., electoral reform)

And we’d be able to leverage so much more under a proportional electoral system, where people don’t feel like they’re stuck between just two choices. Already popular with 68% of Canadians, let’s make that a key issue this election to push for, securing voters more leverage in the future

I find it concerning that Canada is collapsing into a two party system the American way, trapped in a down spiral that continues to disenfranchise voters wanting a real change. How about we make electoral reform a foundational issue this election before it’s too late?

If you're concerned that Ford's been privatizing Ontario for profit, similar to what we've seen in the US, let's make our democracy more robust with much-needed electoral reform. There's nothing democratic about having a majority government with less than 50% of the popular support.
