We might underestimate what a good parent means to their child. I grew up with no dad. Days like this are a painful reminder but also gives me pause. Knowing so many great dads makes me smile for their kids. They’ll have something I never did. No jealousy or regret, just proud of the good ones

Congrats to the Knicks and Canes on winning their respective titles. Don't like either but I am genuinely happy for my friends who are celebrating. The fans deserved it. I might actually be ok with the Canes if they stopped co-opting Hartford's identity.

Visited the grave of legendary baseball player, third baseman, Mike Mowrey (1884-1947). Mike played for 13 seasons, for the Cincinnati Reds (1905-09), St. Louis Cardinals (1910-13), Pittsburg Pirates (1914), Pittsburg Rebels (1915), Brooklyn Robins (1916-17) respectively.
