Congratulations to Prof Gareth Evans for receiving an MBE for services to Cancer Genetics in the King’s Birthday Honours. Prof Evans pioneered & implemented innovative NHS services for patients with inherited cancer predisposition syndromes, most notably breast, ovarian cancer & neurofibromatosis.

A MBC team has found that anti-progestin therapy could help prevent breast cancer before menopause. The anti-progestin drug blocks progesterone’s effects, lowering breast density & reducing cells that can turn into aggressive triple-negative breast cancer.
