Indiana ranks 50th in the country for voter turnout. People waited as much as 4 hours to early vote in HAMCO this year. We should be encouraging more people to vote, not disenfranchising them by reducing early voting.

I served with one of the helicopter pilots who lost his life yesterday in DCA. I was a 2P on one of his first trips in VQ-3 and remember him being a funny and young motivated sailor. Everyone who served with him is mourning his loss. Our hearts are heavy.

Today, 3 casinos with a market cap of 17.5 billion dollars tried to block Indiana VFWs from getting electronic pull tab devices. The VFW’s money goes directly to veterans and organizations that help homeless veterans…that money stays in Indiana-unlike the casinos’.

Indiana is one of the most expensive states in the country for childcare. Instead of funding a Pre-K program with a reading and math curriculum, our tax dollars are paying for wealthy families to send their kids to private schools.
