#quiltsky suggestions, please! I normally just quilt around the block pieces (because that's the way Momaw did it) but this one has wide sashing and I think it could use more texture. How would you quilt it?

A great way to support other academics is to ask your university or local library to purchase a copy of their book. If you teach #primate ecology or conservation, check out our edited volume on Primates in Anthropogenic Landscapes! w/ @marspidermonkey.bsky.social and @peopleprimate.bsky.social

Reading this one right now and it makes my brain itch, but in a good, Twin Peaks-y way. Like, I'm not quite sure what's going on but I don't think it really matters.

My late Momaw pieced these from my Popaw's work shirts after he died, but she said it was too sad and she didn't finish the #quilt. It's taking me ages to applique them (they're pretty wobbly, bless her heart). But we're almost there - this is the last one! 💔

🧪 Wildlife safe rubbish bins in Costa Rica. These bins have a long tube that drops rubbish into bins below, protected by wire. The monkeys can get their arms a long way in there, but they are pretty effective at keeping human trash out of reach.

Went to an exhibit on British surrealists and discovered Desmond Morris' paintings. I love this one but I'm not sure why. No one in this painting seems to be having a good time but I like the colours and the marshmallow people.

Family was watching Adventure Time and my kid goes "I wish we had a cute little elephant that could make us apple pie" and husband goes "We do! We've got Mom!" Not sure that was a compliment but I'll have to take it because I AM a cute little elephant and I sound a bit like her, too. 😆

Please help me solve a problem, Internet friends. How would you navigate these front steps with crutches & 1 non-weight bearing leg? Some are too tall to hop up/down, & the flat bit in the middle (plus another at bottom) means you have to stand/sit a lot if you try going on your bottom. I'm stumped.
