I have been listening to @oldgodspod.bsky.social nearly nonstop since I picked up the @montecookgames.com #TTRPG book at GenCon. The podcast reverberates in my West Virginia bones and that book calls to me like the literal Necronomicon. This is just the new me, I think.

I was at my in laws’ house and saw an old CRT TV in their basement. I told them there is a market CRTs with retro gamers and they let me have it. I get home, test it out with my N64… Let me tell you. #SkywardSword playthrough is finished! It hasn’t aged well and there are some parts in here that are ZERO fun. But! I still love the aesthetic, music, and some characters (Shout out to our himbo Groose). Feels like a C tier Zelda game. Next up on the chronological #Zelda play though: Minish Cap!

Potentially unpopular opinion, but given the amount of labor hours and other costs associated with production, a lot of video games are worth more than $80. Compared to how much they cost when I was a kid, they’re still a bargain when you account for inflation.
