I would like to say that so far I have kept up with my policy to write a poem every day that I get rejected from a poetry magazine! I have also been writing a lot in general until this week, so today was the first day I had to do that on purpose- but I guess it's a thing now, so I have done it!

I just pressed submit on a poetry submission the exact moment I realized I should have mentioned that the geographical place name one of the poems is about me not being sure about is THE NAME OF THE LIT MAG. IT'S THE NAME. The poem is like, "eh, idk what this is," and the answer is THE MAG'S NAME.

I compare every movie to the 2013 film Rush in one way or another. It's not like it's the greatest movie ever made, I just really frequently wish movies were a lot more like that movie, which no one else has seen or cares about. Because it's American Hollywood conventional filmmaking, but perfect.

Coyote vs. Acme wasn't funny, so here is my old WB tour guide joke: there was a coyote living on the back lot, his nickname was Wile E., and if I mentioned that on tour I would also tell people they likely weren't going to see him, but to let me know if they saw any Acme delivery boxes just in case

I religiously turn the media volume on my phone off any time I'm not at home. Tonight I ordered food. The delivery driver only picked up half my order, so a second delivery driver showed up later with the other half of my order, which is... most of my first order also, they gave me half of my entire order twice in two shifts. They also had a lot of buy one get one free...

This recently came up in conversation, but as a reminder: The Matrix is a good movie. The first Matrix is a great movie, you should go back and rewatch it, it's fantastic. Forget the second and third exist and watch the fourth one if you're a very specific kind of person, but the first is amazing.

A week ago I did my first poetry reading! It was very nerve-racking! I had forgotten that sometimes, when you are nervous and talking, you shake violently like a chihuahua against your will, which sucks! But it was nice to rip off the band-aid of trying a new thing- and my work was okay, I think.

This small gentleman works at a vintage store, though he is only a few months old. He tried to fight my skirt so I picked him up, and then he decided I was a bed and started to fall asleep. I deposited him on a couch so he could sleep on Not Me, which is why he looks so grumpy, his bed betrayed him.
